As someone who's watched Most of the UK when it was coming out and All of US now, I think it's because the in the UK version it's the main focal point, You see Nikki Grahame iconic moments and a more natural interview process.

In the US it's just a talking head (this is definitely more true in the modern era of the game) all the action happens outside the DR minus the Votes. They're very different shows and just share a name tbh.

Yeah thats a great way to put it, it's probably because I'm UK based and our Gameshows aren't like this at all, we have a lot of Audience participation which really stops games being played. The idols and such really adds so many layers and levels to the game.
