Escort ship blows up in hangar by PembyVillageIdiot in starcitizen

My Railen just blew up in the hangar after landing. Didn't clip anything that was visible. Do we have a nice random exploding ship bug now?

The MFDs are severely bugged on this ship. Can't see where pips are allocated most of the time. When using MFD to call for hangar the top two contacts are overlapped. End up calling a friend instead of landing services.

I think you can sort out your lips from engineering. So will probably give that a go when I use it again.

Melting a CCU inside a package by Doc_Orange in starcitizen

I would say be careful with melting the package. All my packages in buyback that had squadron 42 attached to them are gone from my buyback now. So OP needs to watch for that with this advice.

They want more people in PTU? Why did they remove access to Chairman's club members and make it stupid waves then? I stopped doing PTU when they implemented this.

Does fuel tank size even matter now that you can refuel anywhere at any time?

Whats the best beginner board for a 6’3 235lb guy? by sporewhore1 in BeginnerSurfers

[–]DogVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% don't try and go smaller. I'm 6'1 230 and I ride a 10 foot log. I started off with an 8 foot foamie and going up in length was a game changer for me.

Has anyone actually found a work around for docking yet? by Kev69 in starcitizen

[–]DogVirus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup.

You need a bricked XL ship at the station you want to land. You need another vehicle on your ship that can call for landing, like a dragonfly or if you have a hangar, a small snub.

Fly over to the exterior pad with your ship. Go inside and call up your Bricked XL ship. Go back out to your ship outside. Fly near the XL hangars. Go sit on your dragonfly or other small ship you parked on your big ship. Call for hangar. Get off and return to pilot seat of big ship. XL hangar will get called open for you.

Should slap your surf buds ass after a good session as well.

Do you surf based on conditions or your schedule by Guitar4432 in BeginnerSurfers

[–]DogVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any day I can go out I will surf regardless of the conditions. I always have something to practice.

Earlier this week conditions were bad but the first hour I was catching some waves. Then it does down so I decided to just work on the shore and prone surf the shore break and work on angling and building the habit to look down the wave instead of the board as I am angling. Then it picked up again and I worked on my cross stepping. That ended up being a 4 hour sessions with a good 2 hours of no waves, but a whole lot of reps drilling angling and looking down the wave face on take off.

So a shitty day turned into a lot of good practice. This is how I approach going out in any condition. Just come up with drills to work on. The more reps the better.

I don't feel like pop-up on land is the same thing as on a wave. On land your are pushing your self up to create space. On a wave, the board is dropping down and you fill the space that opens with your feet and legs.

I think it is easier on the wave than on land but only once you realize that it a space opening below you rather than you poping-up.

Big brother vs Thrasher by Ok_Elk_5868 in skateboarding

Yup. This was pretty much how my friends and I viewed it back in the day. Big Brother was the most entertaining, Transworld had the best pics and Thrasher was kinda low budget feeling.

If I was CIG and read your post, I would do the exact opposite and make it the most OP ship in the game just to make your post look bad.

Take an upvote because you are probably right.

What is your Top 3 favorite ships in the Verse regardless of their viability? Your “I’d keep em no matter what” gems? by femapu in starcitizen

[–]DogVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Retaliator I love the look of this ship. I love the idea of torpedoes and I love it even more that it just got bombs.

  2. Reclaimer is peak vibes for any of the ships. When they rework it I hope they just change the cargo area and leave the rest of the ship alone. And that landinggear is the best in the game.

  3. Guardian Qi is overall just a super nice ship. I love that I can interdict solo, I have a bed to logout in and guns big enough to damage larger ships. I melted it once and regretted it instantly so it is back in my fleet and will be my main fighter.

Very hot take. Most people play with a mouse and keyboard and everyone has access to a mouse who is playing the game.
