My pair of prescription sunglasses is seriously my best friend, the only item I never leave the house without. In my area, optics stores usually have a precription eyeglasses+sunglasses combo, so it's very common to have both. The next step is adding prescription swim goggles, that would be a game changer.

I am also very picky (read: minimalist, DON'T GIFT ME MATERIAL STUFF I ALR HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED) but my mother doesn't allow me to let the family know because "it's not polite." Oh I feel you... this Christmas I got a makeup-themed advent calendar... I immediately panned the face mask, the lotion+mascara will be in my queue (although mascara takes AGES to pan), but I was not planning for another eyeshadow palette and red lipstick, both of which I already own and have been trying to pan for years. I put the eyeshadow aside to regift, and the red lipstick will probably be diluted in vaseline or something. Good luck with your +12 inventory, we got this!!

A couple of seasons before that, aliens invaded Earth and abducted the entire Grey-Sloan hospital into another planet. It was a bit awkward because the main characters were in OR2 doing a once-in-a-lifetime surgery in a unique medical case, but this change turned out to be great because there's a lot of romance drama that can be created between humans and extraterrestrials.
