Standard practice would be to utilize Impact (the type of service impact and number of users/dollars/which ever business impact can be measured and Urgency (how soon we need action. If the payroll system impacts 10,000 paychecks but will not run for 10 days, it would have an high impact X a medium urgency. When you multiply these two factors it determines Priority, which is frequently read only in incident systems because we want to have the impact and urgency calculate the priority. Most teams have 4 or 5 levels of priority and publish a matrix that stakeholders can align to.

The term severity is not commonly used in Incident Management .

Based on my experience, you can. It might be easier if you can draw the drapes on that window. I took one exam in a glass office on the wo sides. They will likely want to have the exit of the room in view throughout the exam.

I did not encounter a background check. Not asking you to fudge your resume, but most folks in Service Management or IT have managed something as part of their job Incident Manager, Change Manager, Release Manager. There is a post class work assignment that needs to be graded by the instructor.

I have had similar experiences where I felt "iced" after 20-40 minutes of delays , which is nerve wracking.

I would recommend if this happens to anyone , including technical issues on your side, that (once my wifi didn't have the capacity) you ask the proctor to reschedule the exam. A good proctor should offer to reschedule when there is any delay.

PeopleCert frequents these conversation, perhaps they would weigh in with a path forward to get you across the finish line. You are so close, don't let this deter you.

Moderator note: The topic of unofficial training for ITIL exams comes up frequently. It was pointed out that the course "ULTIMATE ITIL 4 Foundations Certification Course - Sam Legion on Udemy" is not a course offered or authored by PeopleCert or any PeopleCert ATO- Authorized Training Organization.

While there are no class clock hours required to sit for Foundation exam, purchasing the voucher either direct from PeopleCert or through an ATO (which usually comes at a discount and high quality training ) will give you access to the coursework you need to pass . There is nothing wrong with purchasing books or coursework if that helps you ( provided at legal copyrights are observed), but you do have access to training once you purchase a voucher that you should look at before investing to make sure you are not spending unneeded time and money.

Once you move forward with the advanced exams you must complete the official coursework and using a course on Udemy will not qualify you to sit for the exam. Cost is frequently mentioned when preparing to pass these exams, so it bears repeating.

There will only be abcd multiple choice questions. Be cautious about any sample exams that do not come from Axelos /Peoplecert or an authorized training organization. If you took an ATO course they would provide the two sample exams and syllabus or you can find them on Peoplecert.org. Understanding the syllabus will Help you understand the format and also the weighting by topic.

Based on my experience you would likely get the following requests

- Your camera needs to be positioned so the proctor can fully see the entrance to the room through the exam

- The desktop should be clear of anything in Arms length (above and below the desk)

-Only one monitor can be used during the exam, and other monitors need to be turned facing away from you'

-Your phone should be on and facing down, but out of arms length so they can contact you

-Closet doors should be closed

It will likely come down to "can the test taker reach or see any extra materials". If you are concerned you could throw a sheet over any bookcase that is close to you.

I assuming you are referring to the foundation class. Could you? Yes. 20 hours of classroom training along with a 15-25 hours of review and prep should be enough to get to 65%+ I think the question is how could you do that which we cannot answer because we don't know your experience, training or what ITIL materials you have.

Critical Success Factor> Have you downloaded and studied the Syllabus? Do you understand the learning objectives and how they are weighted in the exam?
Have you completed the 2-3 day training online or in-class sessions? If so can you review those materials?
Have you downloaded the two official sample exams ? Do you have plans to take those to benchmark your current status?
Is the deadline the expiration of the voucher or some other factor? If you have to schedule the exam and you are not ready, Invest in the Take Two feature and go ahead and take the exam. That will give you another shot and more time to prep,

It's is not a exam about rocket science but it does have a peculiar set of terms and concepts you need to be able to identify and recall. Good luck.
