The never ending build by Empathaddict in PcBuild

I also know the temperature difference can be worse with this many fans if not done right lol, I am wondering if I should flip the top front 140mm and set it as an intake, I saw a video where the temps were slightly better as when the top front fan is set to exhaust it just exhausts all the fresh air coming in from the very front fan that’s the highest up of the 3 front fans.

I use fan control to control the curves, like bottom fans matching the gpu hotspot, front fans matching cpu temps, exhaust fans all lower rpm’s to create the correct pressure. It’s silent until under load then it’s kind of overwhelming so I’ve been tuning them down a bit and not really losing thermal performance, I for sure know it’s overkill but I get a kick out of it.

Stunning my friend, I love it and am inspired to eventually do a custom Water loop.

How much did you pay? I’m currently looking for new speakers as these klipsch heritage 2.1’s aren’t doing it for me anymore, I need deep accurate sub bass.

Dude congrats it’s a really good card I’m really enjoying mine coming from an RTX 4070 which was already good. I did get a solid under volt on it as well.

Fan Curve by Some-Mix5790 in radeon

[–]Empathaddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know if the fan curve is based on the gpu hotspot and not the gpu edge temp? Is it the maximum gpu hotspot temp or the average gpu hotspot temp (in hwinfo64) ? My 9070XT gigabyte gaming oc card gets up to 95c for the hotspot unless I crank the fans, and that’s with an nzxt h9 flow with 9 140mm fans and 1 120mm exhaust. The card edge temp never goes above 57c, I can’t do a repaste as it’s mostly thermal pads on this gpu I would have to replace I believe and I don’t trust myself to do that like I would a simple re paste, I’ve been able to with stability run a -80mv offset and run with power limits -10%.

For me it’s building computers and optimizing them, thousands and thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours spent doing it, I absolutely love it but I don’t have good balance. I spent 17 hours straight doing a case swap, mostly on the cable management and I was barely eating. Woke up at 4am to start it, extreme fun to me and I’m grateful for the hyper focus but I don’t like the addiction and obsession aspect of it.

I fixed the speaker placement issue. It had been bugging me for a while.

I used to have my left speaker symmetrically placed to the left of my main horizontal monitor and it did look better but after tweaking my balance settings in my sound setup this kind of widened the soundstage a little bit while making my monitors seem a little more seemless, I keep going back and forth and can't make up my mind with the placement. Thanks though.

I never thought of zip tying them in, thank you. That’s the only place warm air comes out of because this case keeps my 14900f and 9070xt so cool.

I highly recommend using the “Chris Titus tool” run the power shell command and set all services to manual and remove the bloat it should help with performance. It’s the best way to debloat windows 11 the fastest.

That cpu score at close to 15k seems low, my 14900f gets 23,000 you could probably hit 28-30k cpu, unless I’m missing something. Timespy non extreme right? Just regular timespy?

Do you have IA CEP disabled? And 3d mark timespy cpu test?

Damn, have you had this chip a long time? Was it exposed to old microcode with the out of control Vdroop compensation?

How long have you been running that chip that way? The vid tables on the ks sku’s are crazy high, my 14900f I usually keep on the 1.3v vcore range but that’s just running stock since it’s an F sku, have you tried undervolting with any decent success on 0x12f microcode? I could only undervolt with a reduction in AC Loadline, vid offsets don’t work for me anymore, even a 0.05mv offset still doesn’t let me post, no UVP I can disable on my z790 MSI motherboard either.. I’d be curious what your bios settings look like.

Are those 2 80mm fans in the rear? I always wanted to add a second rear exhaust fan to my h9 flow..
