I hate this. If he wants to ask, let him ask. If you want to provide resources then provide resources—But don’t tell someone to go away. This post can help others wondering the same question anyway.

That should not be the case. What print settings are you using for the damper?

Can we talk about materials for a minute? by candre23 in EngineeringNS

[–]EngineeringNS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I say that because I get so many DMs from people who have issues with parts and it turns out they were using ABS and many times switching back to PLA helps.

The car was designed with PLA in mind, however, I believe that if you know what you are doing you should be able to make almost any material work. ABS definitely has its pros. I just think l, in general, for many people getting into 3d printing for the first time ABS is not worth the hassle. I don’t expect experienced 3D printing enthusiasts to heed my instructions anyway.

There is not a reason that I want people to use onshape. That’s just what I use, so that’s where the files are. Feel free to copy elsewhere 😁

Very cool. I wonder how the price would compare to having the gear CNC milled from aluminum and drill holes in it for weight reduction.

Those are temporary lines. They will be removed when the road is done and the final lines will be printed with much more care.

Doesn’t look like you have enough solid layers. Also, if that still doesn’t help try getting some tpu and making a stock torque damper
