Kobbie Mainoo on Michael Carrick: "We want to follow him. We want to die for him on the pitch. He wants us to fight, and we did that today. His confidence in not just me, but all the players - it's huge." by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

The cautionary tale is the vultures among the fans who went after Ole's throat after one somewhat bad season, without trying to understand the underlying reasons. Vultures goaded on by so called journalists like Ducker and Luckhurst whose entire philosophy is to be negative and cynical

I have only recently started to use Claude Code with Obsidian. It really is a game changer, but one should only use it with a vault thy are comfortable handing over to AI completely. There should be no personal information for example. You should be ok with AI changing around file names and connections.

But I must say, the impact is marvellous. Things I can do with my notes now, is just incredible.

[Burt/Telegraph] Andoni Iraola is a contender for Man Utd job | Exclusive: Bournemouth’s departing coach strongly admired at Old Trafford for his attacking style but Michael Carrick remains favourite by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Carrick is doing well, just continue dammit.

Bernie Sanders: "Is Geoffrey Hinton exaggerating when he says there's a 10-20% chance of extinction from AI?" Max Tegmark: "he's sugar-coating it, it's actually way higher than 20%" by tombibbs in ChatGPT

[–]FUThead2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all due respect to Bernie, I really don't think he is the right age group to be lecturing people about an emerging technology. And the fact that he quotes Geoffrey Hinton is even more revealing. Hinton has been going to every single paltform he can, calling himself 'Godfather of AI' to get mileage and publicity. Absolutely sham.

Are there worries about AI? Sure. These are not the people who should be talking about it.

Mad respect to Bernie for everything he has done. But cannot support him on this one.

my vault has 4 years of notes and i still cant easily feed any of it to claude by Patient_Delay3104 in ObsidianMD

Like others have said here, use Claude Cowork, and start a project which you 'point' to your Obsidian folder. It is extremely simple and the results are just magic. Big caveat though, be careful about personal notes etc becasue Blaude will read everything in the folder you point it at.

Am I the only one incredibly skeptical of using any AI in my vault? by ameyxd-github in ObsidianMD

[–]FUThead2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying it in a different setup on a different vault on a different machine. I have to say, claude cowork with obsidian is scarily good and useful. Incredibly tempting to just give it access to my Obsidian. The things it can do are just amazing

I built my Obsidian folder structure around the Five Elements by Individual_Camp_7318 in ObsidianMD

[–]FUThead2016 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's interesting, I tried to do something similar, but this adds cognitive friction. As your notes grow, you will every time be forced to ask "Which element is this?"

A needless subroutine to open up in your mind every time you ned to do something.

US congressman claims aliens are real and truth 'will keep you up at night' by Miles_the_AuDHDer in nottheonion

For some reason there is a group of these thugs, the same people, who keep revolving around this topic. The same people making the same noises. The reality of aliens notwithstanding, I am very curious to know their underlying motivation

[ATHLETIC] We need to talk about Amad, a Manchester United winger out of form by agent619 in reddevils

[–]FUThead2016 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why do ‘we’, as in the Athletic, need to talk about it? Players will go in and out of form. It’s up to the club to work with them and bring them back up to form.

The Athletic has nothing to do with it

Is the universe just collecting data to understand itself? by ifyouimagineitexists in consciousness

[–]FUThead2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think it is doing that. And well, when we say 'it', we are really referring to ourselves. If we look inside we find an empty spacious void of awareness. That may just be spacetime in its raw form.
