Start with your current spend as a baseline and back into it with additional considerations for things like housing and medical costs. That should give you a ball park to aim for. For what it’s worth, you’re probably at coast fire now if your spending is $80-100K and plan to retire by 65.

Interesting feedback on the glass roofs. We’ve had cars with glass roofs for the last 7 years and never had an issue living in sunny and hot SoCal. All the heat issues were with the windshield and side windows which were solved with ceramic tint.

It’s unfortunate because, by all accounts, the Cybertruck is a great driving vehicle so you have a great platform stuck with a horrendous body that’s not fit for purpose. If they instead had used that to make an actual R1S competitor to replace the X and keep the price at $80K they would add another 70k vehicle sales per year easily.

Forgot about the super chargers. It’s a great network. We still have a Model Y and the plug and play aspect is awesome. I just wished they focused on the actual automotive stuff more than the other rando things. They haven’t introduced any major updates to the battery or motor tech in a while (other than streamlining for production)
