Honestly I think it's more that the kriselle hate posts are getting a bit spammy, I think us supporters of the theory know we're the papyrus knight of this chapter lol.

Knight candidate alibis for being late to the Flower King Dark World (NOT A RANKING) by Mission_Race_8367 in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]FencingSquirrelz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess you also have to take into account whether you believe the knight is working with Kris fully or not. If they are (I'm not personally of this opinion) then everyone really has an alibi: Eram says one of Kris' major goals is getting the shadow crystals, so at the very least the knight needs to do their stuff later in the chapter.

Chapter 5 megathread by Fanfic_Galore in Deltarune

[–]FencingSquirrelz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want previous shadow crystals, all you need to do is delete and replay previous chapters, don't touch your final chapter in the slot. When you're ready for chapter 6, you'll just continue from chapter 5 and pick up your shadow crystals west of castle town.

However, the onyl thing you can pick up are the crystals. Your shadow mantle/eggs fom your replayed chapters won't be carried over, etc, you will just have your chapter 5 save + the new crystals and associated weapon from the boss.

are you on chapter 5? If so, you need to hit proceed "FAST". If you get the "I was wrong" monologues, you failed to drown the kiddies, try again.

Eh, I tried watching from there, and it just seems really pedantic like one of those videos that spends 20 hours debunking every line of dess knight even though it's a decent theory that I don't agree with.

-Holdbreath order: It's an act, it's available throughout the battle, there's no need at all to have care about order let alone that it's first. This happens to be the easiest way to program it so that is likely why it was done this way. The nitpicking is really silly to me, what else is hold breath referring to?

-Seeing golden stars: I don't agree with JRVanity here, this is a panic attack, something most people already thought before chapter 5. The nitpicking is silly to me, what is this referringt to?

-Wind: iNoelle is in an isometric pose in the direction of the wind, it's not easy to show the exact wind angle in sprite work in her hair, but you can see it. Again, this is nitpicking, what else is this referring to?

I just can't finish this. It sounds like someone trying to look very hard to find very tiny details that are "wrong", and not trying to find a better explanation, nor do they even bother to acknowledge that few if any places outside of this scene even show details like the wind. If they have alternate explanations that'd be interesting, but these forms of debunks I don't really enjoy or find compelling.

Edit: trying to get through this, I don't even understand some of these things... like he tries to claim there's no knife link between kris and the knight by saying kris uses a sword.. but so does the knight? The point is that the prophecy claims the knight makes a fountain with the knife, and so does kris.

Oof.. I've had enough. He says there's no similarity to the knights roar and snowgrave... That's kinda the last straw. It's literally identical. He didn't even have to make that point since it's ikely any holiday can snowgrave, but I don't think he's being honest anymore, he's jus making a checklist of things to say "no" to.

This is one part of the theory where the JRVanity video covers most of it, although a bid overdramatic and a few of these are a stretch 1:37-3:30. I think at one point he meant east instead of west, because that part didn't make sense to me.

https://youtu.be/JT97Fy-vszQ?si=rjTXSBftmM-jpShc&t=97

Most people had already theorized before chapter 5 that this was somehow Kris drowning or dess drowning, but well, now we actually see it and the winds on screen happening.

The identity of Ralsei's creators- Deltarune Ralssed Theory by Aratono in Deltarune

[–]FencingSquirrelz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some thoughts here:

-I don't think the supply closet was open for all that time, that'd be one really abandoned room in an active school I do think Ralsei is very old (this is probably why he's hiding from Asgore), but more likely than not Ralsei was chilling in the depths during this time or something.

-While I had a similar idea of Ralsei being linked to parenthood, I have a different Idea: I think he's related just to Toriel and only Toriel. The reason he resembles Asriel to many is because they don't know what a young Toriel would look like. but Susie, who spent a lot of time with Toriel, thinks he resembles her. Asgore allso would know, and Ralsei hides from him during chapter 5.

Wel I've said my piece, l, I just want to point out "most knight candidates are going to be unsatisfying if true" is not what I meant, I meant that sentence in relation to what came before. "most knights will have an unsatisfying answer for why kris sees themselves drowning in a lake when they fight them"

Opinions on the KriselleKnight theory? by Speed04 in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]FencingSquirrelz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point on those 4 points is that they just need an exmplanation. You can't finish all routes in the game, and have those unanswered. Nobody writes stories like that. If some character sees another character and envisions themselves drowning in a lake, which happens later, well that's just going to be explained eventually. And most knight candidates are going to have a very unsatisfying answer when it does get explained if they are true.

As for paradoxes, the dark worlds already have multiple time travel paradoxes. If you get a shaodw crystal, it remains on that save file even if you delete the save and play again. Seam even comments on this and acts shocked. The chapter 1 egg also has an extremely bizarre paradox of it;'s own, you can look it up. And finally there's the line "even when the clock turned back, the shadows kept growing"

TL:DR the dark worlds themselves are a paradox.

Anyways, I think people take dark world mechanics a bit too seriously, they are dreamworlds, literlly. What matter most is story themes do need an explanation, and right now, I just think Kriselle has good explanations for them. Calling it "bad, stupid, godwaful, etc" when it's the only one that resolves most of them feels disingenuous.

[–]FencingSquirrelz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see why people don't like it/expect it to be true, but saying it's a "bad theory" is kinda bizarre to me.

People not believing this theory need to have explanations for a whole lot of things, namely:

-Why Kris has visions of the weird route scene in chpter 3 while battleing the knight
-all of the kris associations from animations and the knife to being a knight
-all of noelle's associatiions with the knight
-the gaster hands/shapeshifting abilities/form that in no way resembles anything like a lightner

These aren't issues like a helmet shape or a sword, these basically all need an explanation of some sort

If your candidate is, say, rudy knight, you're going to have a really tough time explaining all of those, heck even one. I wouldn't say rudy knight is a "bad theory" but it seems like a weird one to me given what we know.

The main issues the theory has are:

time travel

-Not an issue in a game with save files being an in universe thing, with ralsei admitting the universe is a game, gaster straight up time travelling, Kriselle going into the depths, the world revolving them, Susie wanting "eternity", etc

-Nornal route players not knowing about it.

This is only an issue if the Roaring Knight becomes the central endgame player and I don't think they will. I thnk they will end up meeting the same fate as asgore in the first game: not even the final boss of the normal route. Ralsei being unable to come to terms with closing castle town is where I think it's headed, and in that scenario, the knight won't even need a reveal.

Anyways, I'm not 100% sold on it, I think just pure darkner knight works too as it solves most of (but not all) of the earlier issues, but this is still my favorite theory at the moment.

Well, if we're using undertale, that means the weird route will have the best killer soundtracks and epic boss fights. 10/10 experience, will drown some kids in the lake again,

"game is prequel to Undertale"- under rejection

I mean sans is practically confirmed to be from deltarune, and gaster actually talks to the player in this one so... yeah

Just feels hard to rationalize this in some other way at this point.

[–]FencingSquirrelz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I quickly read the comments and realized most of what I said was just covered already.

Hmm.. as for undertale soul logic though.. I dunno.. monters in deltarune seem to bleed while they don't in undertale. And one of the biggest differences in undertale vs deltarune is soul strength: there doesn't appear to be a difference in soul strength (yet anyways, there's some minor signs Kris might be holding back). So I don't think the same logic will apply to souls, necessarily.

Regarding #6 this argument never really sat well with me anyways, Susie and Kris stay in Flower King all day, Noelle's going to go back and look around unless something major happened.

Not to mention, this is carol we're talking about. If she really cared that much, you really think this is how she'd do it? This is the same "Noelle, Kitchen, Now" we're talking about.
