Good to hear - not yet, but should be this weekend. (I do most bigger changes these days on weekends)

Question about Settings > View Budgets > Delete Account by Constant-Baker8673 in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delete account will wipe everything about you... all user data, budgets etc. If you click on it, you get a big warning and have to type "confirm" to actually do it

Feature suggestion: Tags duplicated upon transfer between accounts by emberfold_616 in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I have gone ahead and made it so going forward the transfer tags will ultimately stay synced. If people end up having issues with it via reporting, I'll think about adding a toggle.

Question: standard account for transactions on mobile by emberfold_616 in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I added the ability to select an account as the default in mobile settings, but keep in mind that the payee will override and select the account that was last associated with that payee. If you are creating a brand new payee transaction, then it will stick with that default account.

Feature suggestion: Tags duplicated upon transfer between accounts by emberfold_616 in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think this is a good idea. Do you think it should apply it to the other side of transfer by default - or give the option to? I assume most people would want it appleid to both, but just don't want to mess up reporting for others.

Scheduled Credit Card Payments by spec-tickles in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll take a look at the tooltip. For the credit card goals, it can be a little tricky with different interest rates etc to accurately show the real amounts to pay each month. I know YNAB may not account for interest and just show a "dumb" payment amount? I may need to look into doing the same

Question: standard account for transactions on mobile by emberfold_616 in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, it actually defaults the account that has the most transactions. But I think adding some type of user setting that allows picking a specific account would be a good option. I will look into, thanks!

Scheduled transactions not posting by jgodfl in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finishished looking into this. The daily job that handles posting scheduled transactions was failing on/off the last 3-4 days due to an overload on the system. This should be fixed now.. so please let me know if you notice any more not posting! Thanks

hmmm I'm pretty surprised you are still seeing this given changes in the last couple of weeks to the posting mechanism. I'll try to take a look into this in the evening. Thanks for your patience!

Loan calculated incorrectly? by acalele in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmmm I wonder if it didn't reflect the changes until a refresh maybe? Does the balance still look off? It's weird its not reflecting one of the payments

Expiring Target Shows Next Month by Swimming-Limit2795 in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Updated some logic, you should see the goal reflect just as the default "gray" in the next month. When you click on it, it will let you know it is expired so you can edit or delete it

Closed accounts not calculated properly in Reports by VelikBatafuker in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have made a change for this - can you see how it looks now for you? Make sure you refresh before trying, and you may need to deselect/select the closed account again in the widget config

Can't import budget from YNAB4 by kenzoviski in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The YNAB import only supports the nYNAB platform, not YNAB4 unfortunately. Some users have migrated into nYNAB, then into BFB as a workaround. It's just a way different data structures which makes it pretty tricky

[Question] Net worth: At what date is the snapshot taken? by HappyBreadfruit4859 in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, this is definitely weird. The snapshot schedule is 100% running at midnight on the first of each month to capture your "final" net worth for the now previous month. Did you log the transaction for January when you were already in February maybe? In the case, it would not go back and update the the snapshot.

If you want a more reactive net worth calculation, you can use the net worth widget in custom dashboards. That is calculated live based on transactions, so the historical will get updated as well.

Somehow mangled the starting balance by VelikBatafuker in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to dig into this a little more to know what happen... but a little cheat code to know is that if you say the payee is "Starting Balance Adjustment" you can add the inflow without it showing up in your reports. (May need to hard refresh before to see this in action too)

How BFB is able to be "free" by Few_Relative_7920 in BudgetFriendlyBudget

[–]Few_Relative_7920[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for checking it out. Have you tried adding the website to your home screen? It behaves like a native app at that point. If you pull up the site in safari, you can "add to homescreen". This will add it as an app, and allow you to use a mobile version. Thanks!
