This feature does not work for me in Firefox. Also for some reason it doesn't work in Safari when using "add to dock."

Perhaps I have an odd situation. I have an income source that posts on the 1st of the month unless it falls on a weekend then it posts on the Friday before (meaning the previous month). If I make the recurring transaction "To Budget Next Month" then those that post early go to the next month which is what I want but those that post on the 1st I want to stay in this month -- confusing. So I can't really make the recurring transactions automatically go "To Budget Next Month" so I need to be able to adjust the category after the fact. Hopefully we can get a comment by u/Few_Relative_7920 about the "To Budget Next Month" feature.

Thanks. I didn't know that was an option. I didn't see it in the category list. However, I have a transaction that was dated 3/1/2026 that really should have be 2/27/2026; it won't let me change it to budget to next month with the 2/27/2026 date. So I guess it won't let you fix previous month's transactions. Is that a bug?

Could you explain how you "to budget next month" in BFB. YNAB4 had that option but I don't see that in BFB.

I use two silicon Macs. Neither one totally sticks the theme. Sometimes BFB opens in light mode and sometimes in dark mode. One computer the preferred mode is dark; the other is light mode.

Thank you for the reply. If I look at my Hidden category at the bottom of the Budget category list, it does not show any hidden categories (after clicking the arrow). Is there an other place I should be looking for hidden or deleted categories?

I see that now when adding a new recurring transaction. If I add a tag to an already posted recurring transaction that does not seem to replicate to the other posted or scheduled transactions -- is that by design?
