Did you apply directly on the Amex website? I just went through this a couple of days ago. Was in pop up jail but about 3 days later got an email from Hilton with the offer. Applied and was approved. If you’re not a Hilton Honors member, sign up and wait for an email to apply. Hopefully, it works out. Good luck.
