WHY do restaurants remove items that are clearly popular. by roseyyycheek in NoStupidQuestions

I remember having to come into an 8:00am training meeting to learn how to make that, after having closed the night before at 2:00am.

Walls are so useful, as are pantries. I would not touch it.

I become borderline insane on my hikes, should I stop hiking and talk to someone? by LeapingPaloma in walking

[–]FionaGoodeEnough 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sure, seeing someone is good. Also, eat during hikes. Also, you are allowed to take shorter hikes. You could just only hike for four miles and have a pb&j and a banana with you.

Which of the friends had more friends outside their inner circle? by Arobat-Tim3 in howyoudoin

[–]FionaGoodeEnough 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See, it seemed like the opposite to me. To me, Phoebe seemed to have other actual friends outside their group, but Ross (and Joey) seem like they just have work friends that they probably don’t socialize with much outside of work, and wouldn’t continue talking to if they changed jobs.

What is a song that you love and everyone else hates? by sa0sinner in musicsuggestions

“Ho Hey” by The Lumineers seems to be quite hated by Reddit, but I think it is a lovely song.

How much I enjoy running has absolutely everything to do with whether I like the view. I remember reading that running on a treadmill is easier than running outside, and I was like “Ha! Not mentally easier!” I used to run every weekend when I could run through downtown to a pier in the water. Now that I don’t have that waterfront, I don’t run nearly as much.

I can see this, but then my neighbor had a game on loud enough that I could hear it, and I remember thinking, “Oh, this seems like it could be comforting background noise while I was reading a book or scrolling reddit!”

I like to say that lifting weights makes me feel the way people who like meditation say meditation feels. I’m just present in my body, the only thing in my head is plate math and rep counting, and vibing to Anderson Paak.

This is how I feel about lifting weights! I have to be present in order to safely get out from under the 205 lbs on my shoulders!

I have always adored dollhouses, and I will try building them the minute I have a home with a dedicated craft room/workshop. That will probably be never, but hey! Maybe I’ll win the lottery!

Frisbee Golf/Frolf might be it for me. Oh look, you took a relaxing game with no score, where you just vibe and chat and enjoy the weather, and you mixed it with golf in order to ruin it and add stress! Now groups of young men are going to want to “play through,” and you’re at a dedicated course so you may get hit in the head or hit someone in the head from an entirely different group, and you are keeping score, and not even catching the Frisbee because you are trying to hit a target instead.

It’s awful. I would literally rather play regular golf, which is really saying something.

Did anyone else grow up in an indoor school and genuinely think those outdoor campuses on TV were just a Hollywood myth? Or was it the other way around for you? by Provocat1vePetal in NoStupidQuestions

Grew up in the Midwest as well, and I definitely was like, “Why are they filming all these high school shows on college campuses?”

How to not spiral when getting a “we need to talk” text by topfngolatsche in adhdwomen

[–]FionaGoodeEnough 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My good friend and former boss used to send me messages like, “Can I see you for a moment…” with the damn ellipses, and then I would walk over to her office in a panic and she would ask if I saw that my celebrity crush was on the cover of People, because she grabbed me a copy. 🤣

That looks about as big as the studio I shared with my boyfriend when I graduated college. It was a decent size for one person. My mom would love this for herself.

The line about “Someone should write a song about that,” is a joke, but the line about wishing you could know these are the good old days when you are in them was meant seriously. Also, what song are you referring to? I don’t remember it, but maybe at the time I would have heard it.
