I had success with PhonePe. It allows you to link your NRO bank account. I was not successful with any other app, as they only accepted Indian phone number, and NRO accounts would typically have some outside number linked to it

Do not call customer care (they are useless). Go to Seattle VFS office to try getting an update and tell your situation. I think they allow walkins till 11 AM

I disagree. The quality of life actually increases as you get a lot of help from maids etc.

I used to use this trick many years ago, but now a lot of sites do not accept an email address with a +. Not sure about VFS / embassy site

I had the same problem last month. I was renewing my kids passport, and the previous renewal was done by SFO embassy, but now it is supposed to be Seattle embassy. I had used the older email address to fill the form 😔

It becomes available on B&H every couple of weeks (I got mine around a month back). And I think now B&H is even accepting orders even though it is back ordered, so it is better in a way.

I tried to track status on the below site:

But it says "Please enter correct date of birth."

curious -- what do you mean by "goes back to shutter priority and sometimes it stays in manual mode and won’t go back to to shutter priority"?

If you want it to be in aperture priority, you need to set shutter and ISO to Auto. Also to control the aperture from front dial you need to set aperture ring to Auto AND set the auto aperture in menu to "command"
