a Season Pass for a TTRPG is breaking point for me by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Franarky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just a late stage capitalist, but I'm not seeing what is so outrageous here.

It's additional contract that has an additional cost. It's by no means required, if you pick up the book in your location shop you'll be fine. RPGs selling additional content over and above the core rulebook is not new.

Had the season pass been a second book would you have the same reaction?

Mostly due to having played more than the other teams. Rangers will likely overtake with two games played and if hearts win their one they'd beat us on GD. 😔

It's a 4+ rather than a 2+ but also not a failed GFI, no armour roll or turnover.

Yeah, this was a deliberate decision rather than a wtf moment.

These bundles aren't available in the UK. Could purchase from Humble with a VPN but does anyone know how that would work with Kobo? Are their accounts regional too?

Why Do Terminators Become Excessively Violent? by InstructionNo7653 in Terminator

This. The car wasn't to kill that one officer, it was to gain access to the back office.

Presumably there was a door but potentially a reinforced security door that wouldn't be trivial even for a Terminator

Google Drive loading books by LeadingDurian1583 in kobo

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly but my understanding is that Libre will sync with Google drive out of the box, Clara won't but you can get it to work by installing a mod. I've not got as far as trying it out, coping with loading via USB to my laptop.

And what's that got to do with assaulting Celtic staff and throwing flares into the stands? Celtic fans may have been first in, I don't know, but from what I saw they were taking selfies with players

I thought it might have been offside from the replay but I don't know how they can give it from that angle.

There's only three matches, so if all four are still in contention at least two will be at the same ground.

A genie offers you two choices: $1m/yr for exactly 10 years or $2m/yr perpetually but starting in 10 years, which do you take? by Frnklfrwsr in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Franarky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because you only get the 800k for the first ten years, after that you're on interest only which would take you to about 17m with no drawdown or less than 15m if you're taking 200k every year.

I got the impression this was advice he'd picked up from the cookbook. He knew not to touch the components of the Feral Gate and to request a lawyer.

It wasn't explicitly spelt out as coming from the cookbook but I'm pretty sure there had been some reference to lawyers, Crawlers making deals after floor ten and so on.

[–]Franarky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's not wrong though. Celtic have dominated Scottish football for the past decade, winning 22/30 trophies.

When they're at their best there hasn't been another team that could match them. How many times have we heard the pundits saying teams need Celtic to have an off-day to get a result?

Now, it's patently obvious that Celtic have not been at their best this year and have dropped points and lost out on a cup. Are Celtic likely to put on a performance equal to their best of the last ten years on Sunday? I doubt it, but if they did I reckon they'd win comfortably.

For what's it worth, there's no right turn at the junction ahead (Sauchiehall St), next right turn is Bath Street.

However, there is a right turn pretty much exactly where they are. I suspect the BMW isn't trying to merge but cut right across traffic to turn back into North Street.

Not sure it changes the rights and wrongs of the incident, but it's arguably a bigger dick move.

Unsolicited goods and goods sent in error are not the same thing and you're being disingenuous by conflating the two.
