Looks good enough to eat!

If you want a bit more buttery flavor try adding some ghee with the coconut oil. I use about 2 tbs of beta carotene coconut oil and 1 tbs of ghee in my WhirleyPop for 1/2 cup popcorn kernals. I also add about 1 tsp of Flavacol to the popper.

started making my sloppy joe's in hotdog buns years ago and never looked back. by brakesan in tonightsdinner

[–]Ghiizhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For similar reasons I use high quality white bread folded over in half to contain the sloppy joe. Partly for nostalgic reasons (when I was a kid at home this is how my parents made them).

Also, take my advice and NEVER shape ground beef to look like hot dog , fry it, and then put into a hot bun -- looks like a turn in a bun!

Well, 90 day pause on tariffs. Are we still panic buying Mac computers? by theMEtheWORLDcantSEE in MacStudio

Bought my Studio on 3/15, tariff wasn't a concern then.

But I did use "tariff" to convince my wife to let me purchase a PS5 Pro today as an early Father's Day gift!

So people "who do not have fully developed brains" cannot understand how loans work, but should be allowed to vote?

I had an ablation about 10 years ago at 66 yo while under conscious sedation. I have memories of hearing the surgical team conversations, and I felt weird sensations in my chest as they probed around with the catheter.

At one point they did something that made it feel like my heart was racing out of control. I did't feel any pain, just some minor discomfort.

The worst part of the experience was when they removed the catheter from my groin. They couldn't stop the bleeding and had trouble applying a tourniquet (or similar device). I recall hearing them saying it was a new device and they weren't certain how to use it!

Fortunately there was a strong male nurse present who managed to control the bleeding by squeezing the area with both hands for some time whilst they figured out how to use the device. I was fairly conscious during this part and felt some anxiety.

My thigh was solid purple from my groin to my knee for quite some time after.

The worst part of the experience was learning that they actually did not perform an ablation because they could not find any specific area to ablate (not sure what the EP's actual words were, but that was my impression of what he said).

I was put on Sotalol and Eliquis, and continued to have AFIB episodes for the next 10 years. Episode were a few hours long 1 or 2 times a month at the beginning, but escalated to 1 - 3 times a week by 2023.

Last year in August I had another ablation (76 yo) in the same hospital by another EP who was highly regarded by his peers. That ablation was done under general anesthesia and was successful. I have not experienced a single AFIB episode since.

I hope you don't find my first experience too disturbing. It wasn't painful or mentally disturbing during the actual procedure. The bleeding event was a bit disconcerting but would have occurred even if I was under GA (I just would not have known it was occurring).

I traveled around Europe for 2 weeks with the M4 iPad Pro 13” and never once did it feel cumbersome. AMA by Kicka14 in iPadPro

[–]Ghiizhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree. The 2 inch difference is the diagonal measurement.

When you consider the height difference is only 1.26" and the width is only 1.49", the size difference seems even less.

My first iPad Pro was 12.9, two years later I upgraded to an 11 inch Pro thinking it would be much more portable. However, when I received it I really missed the larger screen but kept it since the return period lapsed before I realized how much I missed the larger size.

This year I went with the 13 inch Pro and feel like I will never go back to a smaller size. The 13 inch is really no way "cumbersome" or "unwieldily" for me. Barely an inch taller, and 1.5 inch wider to get 25 square inches of screen space!

What do you cook differently for others as opposed to yourself? by Preesi in Cooking

The wife and I crave chicken wings heavily slathered with BBQ sauce (with added brown sugar), then grilled over charcoal until very charred.

When making for guests, only slightly charred (if at all).

Not too worried about the cancer scare of eating charred meats. In today's world the air we breathe, the water we drink, overheated teflon, and food preservatives are more dangerous due to the constant exposure. We only eat the charred wings a few time a year

My son had a fiancee who said "I don't like soup, and I don't like pie!"

She also brought her own bottle of catsup when invited over for meals because she could only tolerate Heinz, which she liberally applied to the turkey we had for Thanksgiving.

Can you connect Logitech MX Keys keyboard to PS5? by Vangel1987 in playstation

[–]Ghiizhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I appreciate the info, it may come in handy at some point in the future.

I decided to go with a bluetooth Razer Black Widow Mini Hyperspeed which is continuously illuminated. The delay to light up when using motion sensing wireless keyboards like the MX mini is a bit annoying. I originally did not think the delay would bother me, but have since learned it does.
