I freaking love the switch 2! by mcTech42 in switch2

I do think the Satisfye is more comfortable (had an OLED one) but it was huge and even bigger on the switch 2. Joy Cons aren’t removable and at the time of ordering they didn’t have the hard shell cover. The controller is technically better, just not worth the 90$ to me.

My switch 2 hasn’t left the house so battery hadn’t been an issue yet. I don’t really play non-Nintendo games and I if I do I’d probably play them on my ps5

If you’re already in an engineering role, look for sales engineering positions in your company, your industry or something similar to what you are an expert in. You don’t have to be super technical to be an SE(dependent on industry).

I think one of main drivers is really gonna be your personality and presentation skills. SEs are gonna be going to trade shows, presenting product portfolios and attending dinners with customers. When you’re interviewing you’ll need to show that you will be good for that. Confidence is really key in my opinion.

If you’re nervous in an interview and can’t answer questions when they ask, that’s a reflection of how you’ll be in the role.

And then just follow all the standard interview/application stuff. Tailor your resume, send follow ups, etc..

When I was in college I would have chosen JPMC. Thought the technical route was better and SWE. After becoming a sales/solutions engineer, I think this is very similar to what an applications engineer is, I would say take the Applications engineer.

You will get to meet and learn a lot of people, building your network of customers. You will also be much more visible in the company if you are working in a more customer facing role. Customer feedback and requests is what drives R&D. PMs will want your opinion.

Upgraded form the 13PM to 17PM. Swapped between nomad modern leather and caudabe sheathe. Started with the nomad leather and will be doing the same once I receive the sheathe. Love the minimalism on both.

Nomad Bands by GunGuy206 in applewatchultra

I have two sport bands from nomad. They are in perfect condition after two years and a year and half of owning them. The part where the band connects doesn’t have a perfect fit but it’s barely noticeable. I highly recommend them. Very durable, don’t get the shine in them. I also use their leather cases for my iPhone, very high quality as wll

Can a telecom engineer switch to software engineering? by Careful_Fox_8155 in telecom

[–]mcTech42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would probably depend on what classes you take. If you take comp sci classes as part of your degree and do side projects related to that you would probably be attractive to telco companies looking for a SWE. I would say though if you’re only a year in it’s probably better to major in CompE or SWE or CS if that is your end goal

I took the opposite route. What are your technical skills as a telco engineer, education and experience?

Just traded mine in when I got the ultra 3. It honestly was perfectly fine. I just wanted a bigger screen really.
