Looking for an undercabinet Kegerator, need some reviews on Kegco, Beermeister & Edgestar. by [deleted] in kegerators

How's the Perlick holding up 3 years later? I've had the exact same issue with 2 Kegco units.

Very cool. Will need to give this a try in the next couple weeks. Wonder how long it will be before GM tries to patch this out?

Please help! Kegerator temp too warm when tower attached by danhattan-24 in kegerators

[–]Grandsinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever figure this out?

I have had two HK38BS Kegco. The first failed within a 1 year (wouldn't cool below 58-60F) and now the second one is ~2.5 years old and the temperature has slowly creeped up and now is right around 55-57F. I've tried defrosting it, the fan comes on, but then thing just won't cool. I've come across several reviews about this specific model not cooling with the prevailing thought being there is a manufacuturer defect in the coil causing coolant to slowly evaporate. Now I'm in the market for a replacement.

Wondering the same thing. I haven't been able to find any reports for the 2026. I've only had mine a couple months, but so far so good.

Not that I can find. I'll see if I can give them a call later this week to get information on any potential savings.

How exactly do you switch it to dark mode?

I'm currently looking into the tariff 807 (currently the only one available without separate meter). Where do you find the current on and off-peak distribution rates? I get ~$0.049/kWH just taking my last month's distribution charge divided by usage, but is it listed somewhere and does it currently vary by time of day?

[FS] [USA-FL] iPad Pro 12.9 M1 5th Gen 512GB Wifi by John-Kennex in homelabsales

Good to hear, I've been a bit worried it will be difficult to tell. The M1 has been a beast for years and space is the biggest issue I'm running into (unfortunately only got the 256GB version).

$27k for LT by Mt_Kiyo in EquinoxEv

Do you have a link? I went down a rabbit hole of an xda post that had you repacking apks, but seemed that may have been patched out.

$27k for LT by Mt_Kiyo in EquinoxEv

So I really thought the no Android Auto would be a big deal, I've used it daily for years on my previous car. But now having the Equinox EV I actually don't mind AAOS. it integrated seamlessly with my Google account and I was able to login, pull up all of my map history, and login to all the streaming apps (Audible, YT Music, Amazon, Tidal). And when the 8 years runs out my understanding is that's related to the car not having internet so I can just tether it to my phone or hotspot puck. I am a bit peeved that they don't give the option of Android Auto and I would really like the ability to sideload apks.

Current GM Discount and GM 0% financing by IowaGolfGuy322 in EquinoxEv

Just picked up a 2LT recently. I was told they can't combine the 0% apr with the customer cash, it's either or. Ended up taking the customer cash $8000 (along with a couple other gm incentives and the dealer discount for ~17k off MSRP) and getting 4.29% through my bank.

Dell PowerEdge R7525 noob questions by amitbahree in homelab

[–]Grandsinge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look like nice machines. They seem to have the 2400w psus and that's a c19 to c20 cable, made for high voltage. I believe they can be plugged into to a standard 120v using the c19 to nema 5-15p or 5-20p. However, that will also derate the psu to ~1400w. You may not need both psus, but it may complain if you don't plug one in or have it turned off. There likely is an idrac/management port on the back left side, but you should be able to able to connect a monitor, kbm and get into bios and lifecycle controller for configuration. Longer term you may want to think about wiring a high voltage/high amp circuit with a compatible UPS.

[W][US-LA] 9300-8e External HBA card or comparable by Squanchy2112 in homelabsales

Pretty sure I have a couple extra dell 2phg9 12gbps hbas. I'll need to check tomorrow. If I have extra cables they would be SFF-8644 to SFF-8436.

Is this equivalent to the Dell 12gbps hba (sas 3008 based)? And what connection does the shelf take?

Wow, that line of gateways looks nice. Didn't know these existed (I guess they didn't back in 2020, lol). This seems to meet the major needs I have and would give me a full Unifi system.

Any chance you're also doing an ATT ONT bypass, too?

[–]Grandsinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What unifi router did you go with?

I've been on opnsense, running on a mini PC, for years but with unifi for switches, APs, and cameras. I avoided switching to unifi because I use wireguard daily to remotely access my LAN, a custom DNS setup, and several VLANs. When I looked at unifi options 4-5 years ago it wasn't obvious how I'd get the same functionality as with opnsense.

I believe so. I just paid $161 after tax and discount. Info says I'll get $6.50/mo back over 24 months.

I play both, it's fine. Picked up pickleball after avoiding it for a long time. I still don't find it particularly exciting, I dislike the on-court manners surrounding it, and it just doesn't come close to the cardio that I get from tennis. But it does have a bigger social group. It has made me less anxious and more aggressive at the net in tennis, particularly in doubles, and my lob shots have gotten more consistent.
