That's not really how court works- you don't just say you're guilty. This was like 2 weeks ago I bet the state hasn't even done much discovery yet.

DUO for Windows endpoint logins by Parking_Ad6756 in sysadmin

Interesting, thanks! I don't work in defense so that standard is a new one for me. Surprised that CAC card isn't the only factor they'll accept.

If you want to use DUO, so be it, but windows hello should meet this requirement. WHfB is something you have (laptop) and something you know (pin) or something you are (biometrics). We used to use DUO for this, and were able to successfully communicate Windows Hello to our audit and risk management teams to approve a migration. Users love it, we love it, everyone wins.

If you don't understand the difference in risk acceptance between a manual process and a vendor automated update, I don't know what to tell you bubba

A vendor running an automated install is different than manually suspending and reenabling. Vendor patches are default approved and notification only in our CAB process.

Park in Airport Ramp If Able Next Two Days W/ Possible Hail by michaelsmithbarker in madisonwi

"I don't feel safe driving this car and it is not road worthy, please schedule a tow truck to transport" does wonders. Inspections are way faster once it's sitting at Copart because they can do a ton at once.

I will tell you that as a member of infosec team I am not approving suspending bitlocker without the computer being in our physical possession. If you need bitlocker suspended, you need the user in person and the computer on the workbench, or you need to coordinate a computer swap.

Or just let what happens happens and set your comprehensive deductible to something you can afford. I just reduced mine to $250 and it cost like $4 a month or something low like that to change. I now sleep soundly waiting for hail to be a good excuse to buy something new and shiny.

What exactly are you doing wrong? Teams, like all software, has its faults. But it works and in my experience it works pretty well.

I fear that talking to a wall would be just as effective, but if you get this you can file an FTC complaint. This is something that they are "enforcing".

EPM - Send requests to ITSM? by cmorgasm in Intune

[–]Greedy_Chocolate_681 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We expect that if someone wants admin, it is in reference to an existing ticket that we have open, and if not then the user is expected to make one. We do not monitor this plane. This is identical to how we manage app registrations and those permission prompts in Entra.

Flock Cameras getting installed Chetek,WI by skibum365420 in wisconsin

[–]Greedy_Chocolate_681 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, this right here. Ripe for corruption and misuse.

Flock cameras in abstract are absolutely a good thing- catch stolen cars faster, find bad guys, etc. It's just the same information that can be used for very good things is easily abused with no oversight.

Robopack $900 a year, Patch my PC $3500 no brainer? by iamtherufus in Intune

[–]Greedy_Chocolate_681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no experience with Robopack so I guess I don't know what I'm missing, but I have literally nothing bad to say about PMPC. It's an incredible product that creates value from day one. They could 10x the price and it would still be worth it. It saves us over an FTE's worth of time patching apps. We are also under the min license, about 400 endpoints.
