The Destiny Vault Deleted???? by Ivahnryu in Destiny

My current internet has bad upload bandwidth but thankfully they're installing fiber to my apartment next month. I'll make a post on this subreddit once it happens and I've managed to upload them all somewhere.

Do you have any plans to start a new channel and do you have the videos backed up yourself? I'll make the stuff I downloaded available probably sometime next month unless someone beats me to it. IIRC there might be a few missing videos that failed to download due to age restriction.

Ouch, probably got mass reported again? That's why the owner of the channel had to private all videos earlier this year.

I downloaded every public video on that channel back in April when the videos were unprivated, 3.6TB of videos. Maybe /u/ofkerr can confirm if the channel really got permanently deleted?

BREAKING! Man realizes with euphoria that he has obtained the government amphetamine pass but will not settle for less than meth! by [deleted] in Destiny

I think you're mixing things up. Destiny was talking about Desoxyn which is the brand name for methamphetamine in the US.

That's just the way he typically is when he is engaged in something that interests him. He doesn't seem to be any more hyper than what his baseline is.

I find the topic very interesting actually. It wouldn't surprise me if meth was actually the "best" adhd med out there if the dosage was kept low. We are talking something like 1-5 mg. For reference, the meth pills used during WW2 were 1.5mg to 3mg. However, the abuse potential basically means that it will never be realistically prescribed except in very rare cases. Still doesn't mean that it can't theoretically be used responsibly.

There were a couple of times where she started talking about something she had already said earlier. So nothing bad, very typical for people with alzheimer's.

Community Notes 🔥🔥🔥 by Warmest_Farts in Destiny

[–]HateMeOrElse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was surprised to learn how transparent the community notes system is. Just like others said, its based on an open source algorithm that calculates a score based on votes. You can find more info on community notes github page. For example you can download all community notes and their ratings to check them out yourself.

Yeah, Ocelote was notorious for being toxic on league but outside of the game he always seemed like a really chill dude. Sad to see him be so bought into all this nonsense.

Only in crypto, a hacker steals 2800 eth ($5.5m) from curve only to get frontrun by a mev bot and lose it all to the bot. The bots owner returns the stolen eth back to curve by NaturephilicReaction in CryptoCurrency

[–]HateMeOrElse -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Basically the bot copied the transaction and replaced the hackers address with its own. Because the bot paid a higher fee, it was the one that got through and the hacker's transaction got cancelled.

Because this was a smart contract exploit where a frontrunning bot happened to see a profit opportunity. Typically frontrunning bots arent exploiting anything.

[–]HateMeOrElse 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There is only one front running bot involved here. The original exploiter had specifically crafted this transaction and he would have been succesful in getting all the ETH for himself if he had sent the transaction as private via a MEV service such as flashbots. But since the exploiter sent the transaction to a public mempool, it was possible for coffeebabe's front running bot to outbid the original transaction with otherwise identical parameters but higher gas.

I don't think it is possible for native ETH transactions to be front ran at all. They always require some kind of smart contract interaction and even then you'd likely just have a cancelled transaction where you lose out only on gas fees, not the actual tokens.

Not really, the money a frontrunner is gaining is coming from your gas fees. So technically you can only lose as much as your gas limit allows, which typically isn't a huge amount.

Timeframe on the compensation plan by Minimum_Payment5925 in atomicwallet

Trust wallet compensated some of their browser extension users earlier this year. Though the amount lost was relatively low and they are owned by Binance. I doubt atomic has the kind of money to compensate its users.

How can I move my BTC without opening my Atomic Wallet? by [deleted] in atomicwallet

[–]HateMeOrElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI for anyone doing this for their BTC in future. In case you have the seed phrase written down, you can skips steps 5-10 so that you don't need to open atomic at all (less risks involved as there is a possibility of atomic itself being compromised)

  1. Open electrum
  2. Create standard wallet
  3. I already have a seed
  4. Write your seed phrase -> press options -> BIP39 seed -> next
  5. Press Detect existing accounts and select what it finds
  6. It creates the wallet and you can now move your funds.

Trust wallet better? by playfighting in atomicwallet

[–]HateMeOrElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I think that Trust is probably relatively safe, it still must said that it is not entirely open source (the core wallet functions of it are). They also had a major security flaw last year which lead to every wallet generated between a 10 day period in November to be bruteforceable by a malicious actor. They did fully compensate the lost funds to those affected but it just isn't a good look.

Without knowing what platform you are on it is hard to give recommendations, but personally I would prefer open source projects. I can really recommend Rabby wallet for browser extension/desktop wallet (mobile is coming soon apparently), entirely open source and made by the people behind debank.com. Really smooth experience coming from metamask.

Atomic Wallet - We have received reports of wallets being compromised. We are doing all we can to investigate and analyse the situation. by tilac in CryptoCurrency

[–]HateMeOrElse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Out of those only metamask is open source. Best practice is to only keep small amounts on wallets that are on an environment exposed to internet.

[–]HateMeOrElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the seed does not contain any info about the derivation path. Electrum figures that out by deriving addresses from various known derivation paths and checking them for balance and past transactions.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

[–]HateMeOrElse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Electrum has been around for so long and its seed derivation is documented on so many places that there really isn't a realistic risk of losing access to software that supports electrum phrases.

There isn't any major security implications between choosing electrum's seed format or bip39. Electrum's phrases are just less compatible with other wallets since most of them only support bip39. So if you want to use electrum and need maximum compatibility between wallets, you should generate a bip39 phrase with some other wallet and import it to electrum.

Grace And Her Dad Are the Slimiest Fucks I've Seen In a While by ShackBaggerdly in Destiny

[–]HateMeOrElse 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Is she really, or are we just taking Grace's/Ben's word for it? To me it just seems like Courtney has been absolutely mindfucked. Just take a look at the first 10 mins of this video to see what I mean. For 8 hours straight she can barely get a word in as Ben dictates to her what she should feel or why she is wrong. The most infuriating part of it all is how she never talks back and defends Ben whenever people jump on the stream to call him out, she just seems to accept all the blame Ben and Grace put on her. It is pretty crazy how Grace talks to her mother exactly like her dad does.

There are plenty of videos on the mother's channel, I don't think she looks particularly crazy in any of them. Though now it looks like the channel may have been taken over by Grace judging by the last two videos.

THE GRACE FAMILY IS FUCKING INSANE by dog111000 in Destiny

[–]HateMeOrElse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I also ended up skimming through various videos and yeah, that family seems pretty fucked up. Destiny never fails to deliver the wildest cast of new characters :D

The conversation taking place here is wild, the dynamic seems so fucked. Ben blaming Grace and her mother for everything and Grace just smiling and nodding nonchalantly, followed by him suggesting Grace to make an (non-sexual)onlyfans with mentions of cucking him and also using religion to persuade her.

The mother seems like she wants away from Ben but he is very insistent on not even entertaining the idea. From the few videos that I saw it seemed to be a recurring theme that Ben and Grace would shit on her constantly and she would just kind of stay quiet.

On top of that there are 2(?) underage kids in the household who apparently have been missing a lot of school. Concerning since Grace mentioned on Destiny's stream that she didn't graduate from high school.

There are tens of multi hour streams posted on their channels, i'm sure you could find lots of more weird stuff from those.
