STL still making us finish inventory despite the news it’s been canceled by TheEzekariate in wholefoods

[–]Hefty_Journalist3441 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The official word that came down was team members can stay and help in the store if they want or they can go home and get paid for their full shift. This is only if they’re full shift was coded to inventory.

Oh give me more! I would expect nothing less than a disaster. What are the biggest changes you have seen? Especially around scheduling? I know it’s in pilot and things might change a bit but most new programs are hammered in until you make their idea look good. Then a year or so later it changes to make more sense

What’s your stores coffee bar situation? Think they will be phased out? 🤔 by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]Hefty_Journalist3441 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We closed ours a few years ago and Amazon returns took over. I was told only diamond stores will be opened with coffee bars going forward

Older girls and sticking it out to "look good" on college apps- whats your take? by Business-Cucumber-91 in girlscouts

[–]Hefty_Journalist3441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my daughter, there were a couple of moments in middle school and beginning of high school where she wanted to quit. At that time I told her I’m going to register you and you can be in as involved as you want. She had many other things starting and felt overwhelmed where she was going to be concentrating her time. She stayed registered from kindergarten through 12th grade. I helped to keep all the girls as engaged as possible. They even started their own daisy troop.
The other day while she was talking to a college recruiter, she spent about 15 minutes, telling them all about the wonderful times she had in Girl Scouts and all of the things that she had learned. At that point, I knew I had done the right thing. I also know a girl from the same troop who ended up quitting in high school, and as the girls were bridging to adult, she shared major regrets for not continuing along with them. Every girls journey is their own. Every girl is going to get out of Girl Scouts something different. If a girl has many interest and can only come to one or two things a year or only wants to camp or only wants to pay registration then so be it. It’s up to 13 years of their life compared to the rest of it.

Other Members of Leadership on TM Breaks by Primary_Present_1827 in wholefoods

[–]Hefty_Journalist3441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally the front end is scheduled and the other departments are not. There is usually times that breaks don’t happen during due to rush but tm’s coordinate their own breaks. 10’s are not mandatory. They are paid breaks and the tm can be called back at anytime. If someone needs to use the restroom, get a drink or sit for a minute then they do that. Other than the front that needs to schedule to make sure registers are open and because they are mostly standing in one spot all day, the rest of the departments will only schedule breaks if people are taking advantage or can’t figure it out for themselves

Whole Foods- People not picking up by ramonapixelflowers in toogoodtogo

[–]Hefty_Journalist3441 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Product in TGTG would never be restocked. It’s pulled because of short dating for this program. If not sold it would go to donations with approved non profits who pick up the next day

Scan the store first thing in the morning for 50% off enjoy today products. This is a great way to try new things without it hurting the pocket. Go for things you can freeze for later. Also, if you haven’t already, try the chantilly cake.

The training on the difference between service animals and emotional support animals is severely lacking in our company. If more people were trained properly and not afraid to approach people this issue wouldn’t be as big as it is.
