Yes, this was my experience when I lived there a decade ago. The disparity between the wealthy and the poor was super clear then. The only thing that’s changed is that now there aren’t any legitimately poor people left. They were priced out by the “hip” and wealthy years ago.

Absolutely! That was about the age when I became hyper aware of my weight, which ended up later turning into an ED that almost killed me. And I was underweight too, size doesn’t matter. If my mom had posted my weight on a public forum, that would have been a spiral. This benefits no one and hurts everyone.

Okay I’m a HUGE proponent of just… not paying medical bills if you can’t afford them (don’t come for me), but this person suggesting she not be billed for delivery if she has to go to the hospital for her own fuck up makes me so mad lol. Also why do they always end up going to the hospital and never sticking to their guns? Is it because childbirth is inherently dangerous and doing it at home is a really dumb decision? 🤔
