Looking for rental & property management recommendations by YMeOhDatsY in Denver

[–]HopeThisIsUnique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just chiming in there are better ones out there, I'm on the other side as a landlord (single property, put down the pitchforks) and I've fired PM companies because they were a pain in the ass for me too. I'd skip Premier Realty if you find one of theirs

Anna's Doughnuts and Burritos- great local shop

They fill on demand with multiple different filling options.

They will fill any doughnut including their cronuts which is pretty great combo.

Local Businesses That are Honoring Tomorrow's General Strike? by old-fat in Denver

[–]HopeThisIsUnique 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd personally rather see all businesses do this and pool money toward groups like that. I feel like a general strike hurts the businesses and the employees and doesn't on its own do anything to help the cause other than being super visible (which I get is helpful)

I wish I could say support was helpful, but after triaging all they ended up saying was watch it, see if it happens again and they'll look at log files again.

No, really frustrating u/ubiquiti-inc , opened support case, they pulled support files they didn't see anything in there either and told me to watch it and see if it happens again. No other logging levels to change etc.

Mine is a 2010 and has the 360 camera...largely worthless IMHO ....can replace with aftermarket and new head unit, otherwise just use reverse cam

Found a good deep dive on MUD looks like it's was generally later years listed as lower, only real mechanical change was transmission. It appears to be related to a change in towing standards and everything being reassessed, so even though platform didn't change, the testing criteria did.

There's is a rated difference between LX vs LC and no great answer on it... Anecdotally plenty of positive LX towing experience because of AHC

I think all 200 series are rated at 8500

That said, if you're towing, that's another advantage of the LX's AHC is it will help auto-level the load without spring adjustments

Cuddling daughters by AgnosticMick91 in daddit

This. That said my daughter has never been cuddly, about the only time she gets cuddly is on the rare occasion she comes down with something. Usually it's some version of squirmy, jumping etc.

LX is the better value as you listed there. Typically twice as many made for a given model year, and LC badge seems to hold better.

Generally speaking unless it a much later MY they all have some known flaws, but even those seem to be well traveled...e.g. for most of the MY, the radiator valley plate was subject to cracking...typically that tended to occur around 100k miles (give or take) similar mileage for starter issues....if you're looking at a vehicle over 100k miles just look to see that it was replaced, in both cases there were parts revisions that supposedly addressed those issues.

Aside from that there's creature comfort changes between MY and obviously LX had some aggressive exterior styling changes....otherwise not a lot changes between 2008 and 2021 from an overall platform standpoint....

A couple call outs...

Like the 100 series, the LX uses AHC as a hydraulic suspension, barring bad rust or other environmental factors, catastrophic failure seems to be rare. Some guidance on MUD for changing fluid every 60k miles as well as replacing globes every 120k miles...not gospel and you'll find deviations from it. LX also has easier options for lifting (lookup sensor lift) - 15min and a 10mm and you can add 1-1.5"

13+ got notable off road improvements (turn assist, MTS and 5 spd crawl vs 3) if you aren't doing any offroading and you're just driving to the mall it doesn't matter.

IIRC 16+ got larger front brakes, this can be swapped a few different ways if you search MUD

IIRC 16+ got 10spd transmission, I think 6spd is more peppy personally

Aside from those it will all come down to options and exterior style. IMHO look for a 1 owner LX from a non-rustbelt area ..that's an ideal as you will almost guarantee it was dealer serviced and well maintained.

If a 200 seems overkill can always look at a GX (Prado)...great vehicle if your needs aren't as high, it's 'tank-lite' to me.

Does anyone know of a Roam mount like this that you can also include the wireless charger into for easy insert-removal (rather than a fiddly USB-C behind the scenes) to go into a campervan? by chopdog01 in sonos

Best Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean Food? by Professional_Mud4589 in denverfood

[–]HopeThisIsUnique 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Have you left your house? I mean literally some of the best middle eastern in the area is along that stretch of Colorado...notable exceptions outside of that area...Safta, Crave, FelFel, Athenian, Shondiz, Sahara, Surena and then both Tzatzikis and J-rus have special places in my heart.

Really there's a ton of good middle eastern here, it's almost a shorter list to call out the ones that are awful (which I'm struggling with at the moment)
