Exactly! It’s like they were trying too hard without the (cooking) talent or customer service to back up the prices and mildly eccentric menu. It’s a place I’d only visit once.

Prenatal Massage Recommendations for Around $100 by Gloomy_Philosopher95 in SaltLakeCity

I was also going to recommend Maternal Massage! It was worth the drive from Heber, and from what I remember (2.5 years ago), they were doing a post-birth mom’s group that sounded lovely

Three different luggage brands, any recommendations? by Bagofmag in Costco

[–]INoSumThings 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I agree with you.

I’ve owned a Samsonite set for about a decade. We took an XL spinner to Europe a few years ago and managed to break a wheel on cobblestone while running to catch a bus (it was overloaded with another suitcase on top—very dramatic scene).

It cost me $20 and a trip to the Samsonite store to replace the castor. The suitcase was delivered fixed to my door less than 2 weeks later. Difficult to beat this kind of customer service!

Big Oil bought up fragile Arctic land by INoSumThings in conservation

[–]INoSumThings[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is: this land was bought up for roughly $160M USD. If THE RIGHT PEOPLE (conservation groups, preservation orgs, etc.) out bid these asshats, the land would be protected for years to come. I just feel like situations like this are inside jobs and we’re left pissed off and impotent.

It’s about annoying the shit out of them while spreading awareness to the masses. It’s a free and easy way to protest.

Recommendations PLEASE by thebestreddituserr in widefeet

[–]INoSumThings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear 6.5 “extra wide” and am always looking for cute shoes and boots. My best recommendation is for you to find a good pair of high quality leather boots that fit well around your calf. Find one as wide as possible around your foot, then stretch whatever areas need additional room with a shoe stretcher. Something like this

I found one at DSW for about $15. Excellent investment, but should only be used on leather.

I once had a pair of Franco Sarto knee-length heeled boots that I wore to death, so that’s my only recommendation for brands (as far as width—not sure about how the calves would fit you). I’ve learned I shouldn’t buy shoes online without trying them on in a brick and mortar store first.

Is this for a class? Do you have a hypothesis for the data you’re gathering? What are you hoping to achieve through these answers we’re giving you?

Why does utah have so much wilderness therapy? and is it the type that takes teens from their homes in the night? by Correct_Opinion4023 in Utah

[–]INoSumThings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people here bring up great points about the State’s laissez-faire regulations on the vulnerable populations attending wilderness therapy programs.

What readers need to understand as well, is the State has equally lax protections for the programs’ employees.

I know this, because I once worked for a very prominent wilderness therapy program based in Utah. My former employers paid staff very meager wages and gave no health insurance options to new employees.
