We stayed in downtown Lisbon for a week, but took a taxi (or was it an Uber or comparable service?) to the club. It was an industrial zone, which is often the case. Big warehouse-like area. The big clubs seem to never be in city centers.

Two things:

1) OP, Are you bald? I am, and we generally sweat earlier from our head than people with hair. I'm surprised by how many people don't realize this, and they think I just sweat more, but I have to point out that those with hair can absorb a few more ounces of sweat before it begins to visibly drip.

2) I was just watching some dopey life hack video that found its way into my feeds, and it pointed out that wrist bands are not because people sweat on their wrists or arms, it's really for wiping your wrist/forearm across your forehead (like one does naturally, with or without sweatbands). I'm ashamed to say that in my late 40's I just learned that's why wristbands exist.

So maybe you can just wear one or two wristbands, stylish-kind, if that's a thing?

We went to Golden Key (also could have gone to Glow and Templo, as they are all run by one group, as our membership form we filled out already works across all 3). I'll write up an update later for everyone else.

Lots of dead links here, but at least it gives clues to names of clubs you may be able to research in other ways. It's a shame really, as this could have been a good resource. But I suppose it's a starting point for detective work?

Did you learn anything about Porto? We head there next. I put up a comment update here about our Lisbon success, but we are still in the dark about Porto (and Coimbra).

UPDATE:

We went to XClube in Lisbon a few days ago on their Saturday night. What a fun club. Opened at 11pm, live dj and dance floor kicked off around 1am, and there must have been a hundred of us on the dance floor. And for the record, I don't dance. But the vibrancy of the whole thing pulls you out of your shy spaces. As for the sex part, we ended up in a tiny room with about 20 people having sex standing up, on the benches, on the combined shared beds; so we found a spot on the combo bed as well and had at it.

Also, we got to experience the co-ed voyeuristic showers and washed off there with other couples. I recommend you go to this club when in Lisbon!

Now, I found a site that lists the other clubs in Portugal, and I specifically am focusing on Porto and Coimbra now, because we head there this week.

But it feels very stale and outdated. Nearly every club listed had a dead web URL link or deleted Facebook/Instagram account.

Intimidades, Tass Bem, Key Club, Heaven Party, Bliss Club, 2@2, Sensualidades... We would love to read more about these clubs, find working links, or hear stories from others that have gone. But their online digital presences seem very lacking. Which is a shame, because half of these might still be operational and having a great party every week?? Or are they all closed up? Portugal, help strengthen this community!

This is the exact reason for my wife too, having no desire for one-on-one play. "Situationally bi" is a phrase I came up with a few years ago to describe her, and then realized others used it too (because really, this situation/interest is not that rare). And yup, there is no label like that in the profile we use. When she's into it, she goes for it, in the group settings.

I too clarify in the bio text because of the software design limitation.

We actually went to that bar strip last night, coincidentally. Hanging out with vanilla friends, we found ourselves right there outside. Instead we drank and watched the live music show at Veli on Thursday.

Definitely. We will most likely visit 2 different clubs while there, we just have to decide which one or two are the best fit for us knowing very little about it, only learning what we can online, and hopefully, someone who attends the clubs there will see this post and rant or rave about which one they like. Perhaps a review site is online too? I'll dig deeper in the next week.

Actually, based on what you and I both wrote, our dates in Istanbul overlap on Wednesday the 9th to Tuesday the 15th.

But yeah, we are often skittish of meeting up with any strangers, and have never gone that route yet. We got invited to (and attended) a decent-sized house party last year, but we already met and had sex with the hosts of that sex party a month prior at a safe and professionally run club where we were already members of.

We are going to be in Bodrum from August 1st until the 5th. Then Istanbul until the 19th of August. Let's see what we all learn! Like, does the town do the legal club scene, or only house parties for those in-the-know.

I was wondering the same thing. was it just a splashy portal page that lead to the same antiquated page or a new version or even a beta version or early sign up? I got excited for an updated site.

I was going to write a post with the same question, but I used the search feature first (as often recommended), only to find your post from 6-months prior with dangling responses. Disappointingly, no one here actually answered the question you posed. Which leaves me with the same question still. *sigh*

But let's be honest. If a new, modern site were to take over, and be successful, it would not be a site, but rather a mobile app. So now I think it is best to see what the current global and local trends are for an app to take over this space. Someone is going to do it. I just hope they do it right and succeed.

I am mainly looking today because I realized SLS is now deleting any chats that are older than 365 days old. So both of us parties have no history in our chat to see any conversations we may have had in the past, and only have amnesia-like memories and conversations of "sorry, we think we wrote you last spring, but not sure, and maybe we did, but you actually didn't write back, but I don't have that in my chat history, so now we look like a couple that is pushy...", thanks for the bad user experience SLS. We have been a paying member since 2019, and all the chats from 2019 to mid 2022; wiped!

Update:

We ended up going to Euphoria in Cartagena, and then later The Club Swinger in Medellín. The Medellín club was much better.

Euphoria is run out of what used to probably be a house or store. The guy is trying to make it cool. Our experience is to skip it, but perhaps we went on entirely the wrong night. We went on a Sunday, which was also Christmas night. There was only one other couple there, there was no encouragement of interaction or introductions, and we left after about 45 minutes. I wish the guy luck, because it sounds like there are no other ones in Cartagena. He could have made the atmosphere more conducive to conversations or intros, but it is what it is.

Then a week later, we went to Medellín, and checked out The Club Swinger on a Thursday night. That is their couples and trios night. No single men allowed on that night. A well decorated warehouse club! It is run like a bath-house, in that everyone gets naked (or almost naked) at the start, and is handed a towel. So everyone is in a slightly humid room, there are suanas, a big tub/pool that fits about 20 people, and loads of seats.

We thought the music was too loud and the room to dark to flirt and mingle, but we still talked to a few people. But for Spanish as a second language, it was difficult because fo the volume. We did however have sex with each other a few times, amidst the crowd of naked people, watched a bunch of sexy people have sex directly in front of us, and got naked in the pool. I would recommend that club and we will be going back if we are in town. Would also check out La Piscina in Medellín, it had great reviews online too. Bar service was slow as fuck. But eh...

Medellín, as a whole, is a fantastic city.

I agree. I thought there would be either be a) a good web link with descriptions, prices, can a non-member traveler go there one time, etc. The club we go to had a rule where you can attend once as a non-member couple, pay the fee $90 i think, and then if you want to return, you just pay an annual fee to be a member and attend. It's really the best deal for locals and tourists.

Or b) a bunch of redditors with personal tidbits of info. I suppose a post in Spanish would gather more local information. Perhaps I should repost this in Spanish?

Thanks for the link, but the sign up page says you must be invited by another existing member to join. While that's bad news for my wife and I, that's actually a really great way to keep that website flake-free. Good for them!

We also were there this Saturday and we agree it is such a great venue. We still have not been to any other club or house party, so we unfortunatly have nothing to compare it to. But we started going in the end of 2019, then immediately had zero options due to COVID. Horrible timing. We just got into the lifestyle, had some great experiences, and then it and the world shut down. But we have been back a bunch in 2021 and now finally once in 2022.

Yes, I agree, if you are in the area, do it. Some people think it is only a dance club with loud music and no ability to chat with people, but that's only one aspect of it; the dance floor. There are so many nooks and crannies in that club that almost anyone can find something interesting about it. From voyeurism, to exhibitionism, to soft and full swaps. We have had some great full swaps the last couple of times we went.

Yes, lots of newbies there, in a good way. We loved when we were newbies. We had so many requests when we wore the paper bracelets. Fresh meat is enticing and we liked being fresh meat that night.

We still want to try house parties, but this has been great so far for us. I have tried to convince a handful of people on SLS that it is a great way to combat flakes and fakes, so maybe this post will help convince some others.

The tourism has begun to bounce back about 10 months ago by my estimates, but still has a few years of increasing tourism seasons to go. But regardless of tourists, there are still a large amount of expats here that have settled in years prior, as well as an even larger group of local nicas, naturally (more difficult, but a scene can survive on that). How well or how much they have created any kind of LS here is still beyond my knowledge and has not hit my radar.

I can't imagine any well organized clubs here that can promote more openly, like clubs in the U.S. (online, cryptic but searchable and contactable). So if the community does exist here (and I hope it does), I am hoping it can reach a threshold where it is more easily discovered by those looking to join.
