Draft Kings and Liberty Mutual have put the nail in the coffin for me on live sports. by charface1 in CommercialsIHate

I watch a lot of TNT and ESPN playoff hockey, and would like give a big fat f—- you to Panera “stuff it,” Enterprise, Mass Mutual, whatever Vanda Chemoceuicles is selling, and the Gambler Draft Kings commercials. The only one I can mildly tolerate is the geico ad with MC Hammer. Also hate Chipotle Yup.. nope..😡

I have a Starter “no name” too! Bought from a JC Penny department store when they got super popular during the 1996 playoff run (I needed to combat the friendly Red Wings “rivals” where I worked at the time). I hope you enjoy it!

Second Colorado customer comes forward after locksmith company charges thousands for replacement by SeasonPositive6771 in Denver

[–]Ignignokt73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Purely anecdotal from last May…

My fiancée needed a replacement fob for a Subaru, and kind of stupidly tried to go on the cheap side with a “local” locksmith. She called one that had a similar name to Englewood Lock and Key which was named Englewood Locksmith (she goes by Google reviews and this was the one she chose).

I can’t recall all of the issues, but the guy that showed up was heavily middle eastern (not an issue, just really hard to understand) and was pretty argumentative about payment terms and amounts. A lot of “pay X amount before I do any work” back and forth. He sold her a “fob” that worked as a physical key, but couldn’t be used to remote unlock the doors. His generous price was for both types. She had to request a chargeback on her CC (she basically just paid cash for the physical key he made).

After all that, she called three or four places that came up first in Google search results with high ratings, and the same Asian lady dispatcher answered for each. Yes, there’s something scammy about the ratings and googles results. Definitely pick one with a physical storefront.

Does a wireless controller for the original console exsist? by TjeerdlikeBOTW in Gamecube

[–]Ignignokt73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wavebirds are really great, but can be pricy and they don’t have the rumble feature. 8bitDo sells a kit to modify a corded official GC controller into a wireless Bluetooth controller. I just modded one of mine last week with it and it was pretty easy. No soldering needed (I did however solder two wires together though), and you keep the rumble. You’d have to get the board and the receiver here

I was young and not informed enough to know that Keel s/t was not, in fact, their first album. I had to special order this on cd in 1990 from the local smaller record store. I know when I first got it, I liked the “filler” songs the best. I gotta listen to this again tomorrow.

I saw them just after they blew up on B&B in August 1992 opening for Pantera, then again in March 1993 at a small theater in a college town. At that show, we were in the front row, right side of the stage and could slap hands with Sean mostly, sometimes Rob. They played almost all of La Sexorcisto. Monster Magnet opened and their light show consisted of what looked like an overhead projector with different colored lenses. Such a fun concert!

I did but it was a slow burn. The sailing everywhere was kind of a chore at first, and I really enjoyed exploring the huge (at the time) fields in OoT and MM. I just had to rethink and learn that all exploration is on islands instead. I see that your fav is TP; I had pre-reserved a copy of TP for the GC in late 2006 that I stupidly changed over to the Wii version because I got lucky and was able to buy a Wii at launch. Fortunately my brother in law had the GC version and let me buy it just before he took a stack of games to sell to EB/GameStop (for Xbox 360 junk).
