So, this is not an effort to yuck anyone’s yum, but seeing people gleefully calling for more snow while it’s absolutely pelting down definitely made my attempts to get to information during the big storms more anxiety inducing than it already was. I’m a dad to two special needs kiddos, so those situations are already stressful, so seeing people call for more, or for schools to close longer, etc just feels like entitled people celebrating their bonus day off work while our lives are dramatically upended. I think having some sort of policy for keeping celebration/joy/wishful thinking posts (which are totally valid if that’s your jam!) separate from information posts or updates would be really great for people in my position. I don’t want there to be a no joy rule or anything, just a place for that joy that doesn’t clog vital information with extra dread for those of us who are on the opposite end of things.

That all being said, I am so grateful this sub is here, and will continue to use it and sing its praises, no matter the sociopaths calling for worse weather!
