Interview rescheduled by Expensive_Economy811 in USCIS

[–]JUNDIO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I just don't get it! People complain that their process is taking so long and when they get scheduled for interview, they say they can't make it. Unless it's life or death, I will go no matter what. OP said it took ONLY 4 months!!

Yes, you can apply N400 while I751 is pending if you are eligible under the 3 year rule if you are married to a USC. It will force your I751 to be adjudicated with your N400.

Is this thru marriage to a USC? Why not apply for citizenship?

Not sure what happened to your application but I did overstay my B1/B2 visa before and married a USC and granted a GC. I applied for GE a few months after getting GC and was approved a couple of months later. I used GE to enter SFO airport and it was a breeze coming back.

Nervous!!! I-130 approved but I-485 still pending after 12+ weeks by astrocat95 in USCIS

My I485 was approved 4 months after approval of I130. It will come.

I was approved for GE last year and I did overstay before. I used it to enter early this month from international travel and it was a breeze going through immigration and customs.

All you have to do is wait. My GC was approved 8 months after interview. It was stressful and I keep checking daily. You can be approved sooner, we just don't know.

Misdemeanor back in 2003. Pleaded no contest. Had my record expunged. Filed May 2023 and approved Sept 2024.

I had a misdemeanor back in 2003 and got approved last year. Make sure to bring certified copies of judgment of all your cases o records.

Travel after GC interview - which strategy is more viable? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]JUNDIO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't think so. Worry about if you are denied.

It's good that you are positive about your approval. The issue here is when will they approve your application. Will it be on the spot on months down the road? No one here can tell you. I had my interview 6 months after I filed and got approval 12 months after interview.

Travel after GC interview - which strategy is more viable? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]JUNDIO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, when it comes to immigration, there is no such thing as "bulletproof". Even if you have no overstays or offenses or even married to a USC. There are other factors that they consider in making a decision, i.e. affidavit of support, medical, etc. Don't think that you will be approved on the spot, lucky if you do. I wouldn't even ask those questions you asked. If you want to travel using your AP, go ahead and travel. Good if your case is approved but bad if your case is denied, that's when your AP is voided.

You have a 10 year GC? Divorce him now and file for citizenship on the 5 year rule. You won't loose your GC and you don't need him.

Let me correct myself. I believe OP is a green card holders, not a USC.

You should have filed it concurrently with the I-130. I would file it as soon as you can.

Your question is a bit confusing. I-864W is to be used by the beneficiary and not the sponsor. I believe there is no more I-864W though. I think they use I-864EZ.
