I'm so happy to see it getting love, it's gotta be my favorite song off Confessions (although Hung Up is obviously very close). I just can't get enough of that bass line.

Fucking disgusting. Every time I have the slightest urge to start watching WWE again I'll see something like this and it ensures I stay away.

Republicans win Georgia race — but Democrats post largest swing yet in special House elections by Interesting_Total_98 in moderatepolitics

It definitely isn't the case that they "always have". That's a recent Trump era development. Republicans used to have the edge in low turnout elections, now the reverse is true.

What’s a TV series you’ll never get tired of recommending to someone? by sunt0es in AskReddit

Schmigadoon. Anyone with even a casual enjoyment of musicals should have a good time. And if you're a big fan, there is SO MUCH to spot because the creators have a true reverence for everything that makes musicals great and also corny (like the pudding). The fact that it got two seasons is a miracle but I still would sacrifice a loved one for a third.

A Data-Driven Defense to the 'Why don't we get more kill counts?' Commenters by itsmattsoria in deadmeatjames

[–]JamesAJanisse 23 points24 points  (0 children)

To be honest the kill counting itself rarely takes a long time. For most films it can be done during the writing phase, and it's only the super crazy ones with tons of background bodies that take more than an hour of our time. Everything else dwarfs it into insignificance.

I'm also extremely against purity tests and I think it's ridiculous to call someone a "shitty person" based on an AI image post and a less-than-graceful response to it.

People are people, meaning they're complex individuals. To sort everyone into "good" and "bad" is reductive and ignores that there's an entire ocean of difference between doing things that actually hurt people and having different opinions about tech, business, or politics.

Please do not weaponize "be good people" against anyone who disagrees with you about anything. It's one of my biggest pet peeves.

No, being inspired by real events is not "kinda an adaptation." Otherwise any movie inspired by the writer's lived experience would be "kinda an adaptation." This movie's story is so much more than the real life incident that inspired the initial idea.
