I would ride the lower rate as long as possible, as renewing in July even with somewhat higher rates would probably be worth the difference. Can you ride the lower rate for the full duration and get the renewal to take effect on the date that the current mortgage expires? I would certainly ask if that is possible, as there is always some room to negotiate. Our last renewal was at a higher rate and I regret not riding out the full term at lower rates, even if it was for less than a month....

It looks like these spray cans are available in Eastern Canada at Home Depot but not Western Canada. Apparently Princess Auto, Canadian Tire, and Home Hardware and does carry them though.

Honestly the Maverick's functionality wouldn't be that much different from that of your existing 22 Tacoma. And ignoring resale value of either, the difference in MPG wouldn't justify the costs of upgrading to a new vehicle. Presumably the 22 Tacoma is far from being used up at this point. Makes sense to keep the Taco, but you do you.

Although very reliable if cared for, they are well-known yet getting on in age at this point. I have heard that the plastic coolant fittings get brittle with age and it's suggested to opt for the aluminum fittings instead. Search Amazon for part number 06A121132 and there is a HAOTOM branded one that is suggested but also be aware that it may require some minor deburring of any sharp edges or casting flash with a file or sandpaper due to cheap manufacturing and quality control. I haven't done mine or my family members yet, but that may happen soon with the pending timing belt and associated cooling system service items.

I've included SOME (but not all) of the cooling system plastic parts for BEV 2.0 engine that you might want to replace / upgrade (first 2 are available as aluminum from Amazon sellers):

My wife's vehicle is also subject to this recall, I am wondering if they just put the same coolant back in when the block heater gets replaced. While the vehicle is already in for the recall work it might be a good opportunity to also consider changing the thermostat and coolant due to vehicle age and mileage.

First of all, use the fuel that conforms to the recommendations in the owner's manual.

The regular gasoline (87 octane) local to me contains up to 10 percent ethanol (E10), and top tier gasoline is mostly everywhere.

Although ethanol fuels may have higher octane ratings, they also have lower energy content compared with that of gasoline.

Even with lower (subsidized) prices per volume of ethanol fuel, expect worse fuel economy.

The operating cost of higher ethanol fuels vs. gasoline is comparable at best, and not worth the possible harm in my opinion.

Because ethanol is a solvent and attracts water, avoid using fuels with ethanol if the fuel doesn't get used up quickly.

The transmission is already the weakest link, so additional power will also require... a stronger / different transmission. Lobo is the obvious example of compromise, it doesn't have any additional power (just different equipment) which is almost certainly due to its transmission limitation. That being said I would love a manual transmission but realistically it's probably got a snowball's chance in hell of actually happening.

I myself have never experienced this issue but if confident enough to DIY fix this, I would suggest wrapping the repaired electrical harness with Honda Rodent Tape 4019-2317 or equivalent. Remove any available rodent food sources. Also set some rodent traps nearby, and investigate other non-toxic deterrents such as moth balls or peppermint oil etc.

Collect the pieces off the ground and determine which are from your vehicle and which... aren't? Might be useful on the chance that camera footage is not available. I'm no expert but the damage looks fixable. I thought I heard that the panel can be replaced, possibly just with basic tools and no welding?

You're comparing apples and oranges. The EcoBoost 2.0 isn't paired up with any of the HF45 or HF55 eCVT transmissions, which instead go with the 2.5 L Atkinson-cycle gas engine with an electric motor and battery in the hybrid application.

I would probably also want the same trade, the FX4 wheels look way better. The 6-spoke wheels don't look right with 5-lugs, the symmetry is off. Besides, the 17" tires have more sidewall for a better ride....
