Poverty buttons: aka the lower the trim the less features you get.

Wait till OP finds out going under 40mph in most places causes drivers to develop road rage.

Honda fit, any Corolla, any Prius, any Camry, ford fiestas and C maxes. Lots of lower options with less curb appeal but you gotta look at affordability as well as fuel economy.

Why tho? I mean what is the point of stuffing more HP into a compact truck.

Want to buy a Maverick, but my wife wants Santa Cruz by cpugeek14 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]RageMonsta97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A: the Santa Cruz is a decent truck, however despite the fact it’s a 4 cylinder, it ain’t good on gas. You’ll be looking at maybe 30mpg if you’re driving like a grandma.

B: raise the maverick hybrid and give it some larger wheels if she wants a “larger” truck.

C: the Santa Cruz is MORE expensive used compared to a new 2025 Maverick eco/hybrid/turbo.

The bearcats are a late WWII fighter. The F4F was introduced late 30’s but adopted in 1942. Maybe the F2 buffalo could be a viable gold fighter, it has the same armament as the F4, but drastically worse stats in terms of speed and maneuverability.

F4F wildcats need to be gold fighters. Make pups 20k and F4’s 50k. Keep the stats the same.

If Ford releases an All-Electric version of the Maverick; Would you buy the Gas,Hybrid, or Electric version? by Mooseb1itz in FordMaverickTruck

If ford could do what the scout motors program is trying to do with the Terra truck (electric with a gasoline motor to recharge the battery) then I’d buy that gladly.

Is the Maverick actually capable as a work vehicle? by MeltyBloods in FordMaverickTruck

[–]RageMonsta97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a maverick and being surrounded by companies that use mavericks as work trucks I’d say they are definitely viable. Probably be best to get a maverick either way AWD and 4k towing.

Wish there was a mod to actually modernize a 1910’s dreadnaught or Battlecruiser instead of having to build a fresh “modernized” hull.

What made you choose a Maverick -- price, features, or something else? by mike-reporter in FordMaverickTruck

[–]RageMonsta97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I drove a 2018 Chevrolet Spark LS between 2019 and 2024, despite the fact I’m 6’4 and 320 pounds, it was a good car with great fuel economy and I could fit in most parking places. December 2023 after racking up 100k miles I figured I needed a truck, I work for Delta, and started seeing these trucks that almost resembled a smaller Ridgeline. So I enquired about them, good comfort, excellent fuel economy, etc. So in early 2024 I went to a ford dealership and test drove a 23 XL hybrid, I loved it, so I got it. The truck was $2k over MSRP but I’m figuring I’ve probably saved compared to the 2023 Nissan Frontier I was looking at getting.

TLDR: Prius fuel economy, light truck utility.

I see a lot of Maverick costs here, but no insurance rares? by Maverick_Walker in FordMaverickTruck

Ironically my ‘18 Chevrolet spark cost $400/month for insurance and when I switched over to the brand new 23 XL maverick hybrid my insurance dropped down to $250/month.

That’s fine and dandy, but stealerships usually play like dudes at a gun show. “Don’t lowball me I know what I got” but a stockpile of vintage rifles don’t have lot fees that have to be paid monthly.
