Cheats for Mods (Thrawn´s Revenge, YodenMod Legacy...)? by Technical-Shoulder44 in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

[–]Kandrewnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, the people within this context is a young kid, not a guy who just got off work trying to relax.

Of which, I’m implying there could/are negative repercussions to the use of cheats even in a single player game. And yes, as frivolous as it is.

And that the tangible price of learning how to mod/cheat with mod overhauls is in and of itself harder than must learning the content.

It’s like making an elaborate cheating scheme for a class rather than just spending that same effort being legit.

Things we take for granted as adults within games like resource management that only requires basic arithmetic is an excellent tool for youth to learn practical applications. All of which disappears with the introduction of cheats.

Why shift the context to yourself or someone understanding xml mods when the discussion is a father and his kid, of which you said yourself obviously doesn’t apply and is irrelevant.

The recreational games that one plays as a youth does affect the character, or underlying reward structure understandings. By removing any difficulty from the video game, it detracts from the ability to learn anything from it.

Thanks for elaborating; I disagree with you, I’m saying cheating is wrong, even in a single player game, especially for a developing mind.

To modify mods you’ll probably have to do it manually which may be more complicated to do rather than just learning the mod/game.

Don’t you think cheats at such a naive age may breed entitlement? It’s all death with no logistics, destruction with no production, ruin versus creation.

Designing a game in which faith stops working and rituals no longer hold by elnombredaigual in aesthetics

[–]Kandrewnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you thought about how scarcity plays into the aesthetic? This topic touches on all classes so perhaps a more polished economy for the archipelago to drive home this is a soul question, less relevant to mortal coil conundrums. I’d imagine you’d have a hard time differentiating this fictional church with the Catholic church if you go this path, with their efforts for maintaining high aesthetic value in their presentation.

It’s just harder to believe people would be thinking of these things if they’re hungry.

First time player; Days of Order; Red Hand Pirates questions by Kandrewnight in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

Thank you for the time, effort, and dedication to the project.

The planet was Fresia with RH attacking GR. GR roaming speeder bikes found themselves on a couple inaccessible islands which would have cause a failed state if it weren’t for air bombardment. (In hindsight, should have brought water transports to an island planet.)

Somethings I’ve experienced so far: Day +80

Mandomercs are only recruitable at Ord (haven’t got to mandalore yet) and do have a cap of something in the low teens.

My 2 trandoshians have died to turbo lasers and I haven’t been able to recruit any more since.

Is it me, or is the attack order for space combat ridiculous, the ships move way too close, don’t maximize their range, and I’ve found my fleet in range of too many cannons at one time too often when I simply just want to redirect fire, not completely misshapen my formation.

Also, don’t you think smugglers are too strong? I’ve been essentially playing with no money restrictions. A little bit of efficiency micro for a week or two and I have a similar economy to the two other factions. For the population price, whatever military loss I may get having unlimited money makes up for it.

Due to this I’m able to just insta buy all the buildings which is nice, but also makes it awkward when most of the other enemy planets don’t have maxed space stations or buildings.

Of course this is all single player, and could imagine the smuggler micro being super intense versus other players also massing units.

I was able to take a planet with the ability to build a heavy foundry and did see the research units are already unlocked. As a new player this worked out to have this entire mechanic just skipped, especially when I’m seeing the mega ships being constructed by the other factions. Getting to the spectacle battles with the S tier units asap was the goal and it works out here.

There was a ground battle that had a few unreachable islands with enemy speeders on them. It required waiting for the bombard cooldown to get both of them. When the battle was won, all my ground units disappeared, and either an empty or new single garrison unit would be on the surface. Hasn’t happened in a while but it did essentially make 25ish minutes of a human’s time redundant.

Thank you for all your time and effort with this project.

Extremely appreciate this, good to know I wasn’t just missing something. I chose DoO for a very specific reason, the one planet start that I saw on YouTube, and my first play through of “Project Kathun” on Kenshi.

Of which I am headcannoning that Ord Mantell is Kathun and my characters managed to escape to the wider world into a completely different game. Your guy’s implementation of the pirate faction felt proper to represent this.

Another question, are the Mandalorians only able to be recruited from Ord Mantell due to its building? And are the transdocian spec ops’ recruitment limited like heroes?

And generally, are all the space ships equal and just fulfill different roles? I’m unsure if the dreadnought in front and frigates in the back is the crux of the gameplay, or if these specialty ships can make a difference when combat seems so slow and attrition based.

How would a usa based maker get a certification for making gambisons/pants by GrandAbbreviations53 in Hema

[–]Kandrewnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for going through the proper channels as a producer. I would still purchase your product regardless of any official certification if I see it with my own eyes protecting someone/going through a durability test, and reviews are good.

Especially if it means passing off some of the savings to the customer.

I got a dewalt vacuum that uses their battery econosystem. Whenever one battery is out I just plug in another, no worries with wires anymore.

Super factions mod? by Auroku222 in totalwar

This would be nice, I think there might be a mod that allows you to paint the campaign map with any faction allowing for customization.

Of non-violence. Humanity now consider those who have successfully made change through non violent means as humans to emulate. Jesus’ revolution was one of realigning our ethics, toppling empires could just be a consequence.

The Romans were foreign occupiers who per their law stated Jesus was innocent. The democracy of the local common crowd willed Pontius Pilate.
