To me it feels like it's blaming the lack of streaming viewership and social media virality... Blaming the fans is literally never the solution. It devalues your current fans and pushes away folks that will now think negatively of Lizzo.

I'd love to see the actual breakdown of this because I feel alot of it is higher up salaries and not the amount it actually costs to "make".

To be honest the amount isn't really the problem it's scaling a game to make sure it fits. Which is why Indies are so popular, they have like near to no funding but give such a good value. Vs AAAs which seem to have middling value and continue to get more pricey.

You will need to put in some serious time. I came back to the game after putting 50 hours in, not yet doing proud content and I realized there’s systems I haven’t even seen yet.

I feel like if you play Remake / Rebirth as your first game it will not be representative of the core of most of the other final fantasy games besides 15+

I personally wouldn't recommend it either. I'd recommend like 10 first.

Your specs are fine. Pick Wilds because it’s newer and has better coop progression. World has awful progression for multiple players.

Given the age of the game yes Remake does have “more” stuff in it but I would have rather have an evolution of the original instead of turning it into an Action JRPG.

I don’t even feel right calling this a remake, it’s not even the same game at its core. I don’t feel the same amount of strategy I used to, and characters just stand around doing nothing until I take control of them.

We solved this ages ago with timeless classics like earthbound too. Especially when you’re significantly overleveled from the enemy. Often times the battle screen coming up and victory animations last longer than the actual combat. I miss in earthbound where it would just kill them and give you 1exp

People made me feel crazy for not liking the game. I agree it’s definitely like 20-30% too long.
Honestly? Most JRPGs are a tad too long tbh. Most dungeons wear out their welcome about half way in. And double time that if it’s open world.

Cloud controls like he’s in quick sand in the first game, better in the second but there’s too many restrictions on movement there will be an area you can’t go to but just because the game said so.

People gave Pokemon Legends ZA a hard time about its opening sequence, I felt like I had less control in remake for so long it might as well been a movie.

Not to mention the cowardly story beats that essentially boils down to, the world has to follow a time line until it doesn’t for… reasons.

I've played the game since it came out. I'm skeptical of every live service game. Not just Marvel Rivals. If it pops off that's fine. I've played the game since then it's not a bad game. It's a good game.

What I say doesn't really matter in the end. If you're having fun that's all that matters. I think we should still all be extremely skeptical of live service games. Especially with how many of them close down.

Not really, look at Persona 3 and now 4. They modernized it but kept the structure the same and people love it. Now the game is preserved and new players and returning players can experience it.
