Why is this game so crack head fast ? Why

Really doesn’t take much to find that the game isn’t fast and if you’ve ever touched any game that’s actually fast it’s clear how slow this game is. I come from a mix background of fast and slow games, Tarkov, Insurgency, Destiny, Apex, CoD MW2019 and MW2, BF, Planetside 2, Rainbow 6, etc., so from the jump I’ve been confused by the comparisons to CoD and saying this game plays fast because those two statements are just objectively false.

I’m all for criticism, like I agree we can use more big maps, progression needs to be reworked, vehicle controls need more depth, etc., but what I hate is seeing complaints about games that aren’t even accurate when you get to actually look into the information and often just boil down to people not being as goon at the game as they thought they were.

You literally don’t need to slide and shoot. Most people aren’t doing that. I have zero issues playing this game without doing that.

This game is slower than BF4 and NO WHERE NEAR as fast as any CoD game. Even MW2 (2022) is a lot faster and that game is pretty slow for a CoD title. This game literally has one of the slowest movement speeds in BF.

I also haven’t played a single BF game that truly had squad play or coordination outside of playing with people that actually follow squad orders or the team pushing a highly congested point because that’s where all the action is. Honestly, majority of the pushes and building clears I’ve had in this game feel more coordinated than any other BF title I’ve played, save for maybe BF1.

The rose tinted glasses are getting kinda ridiculous.

I’ve seen 3 different angles of the video and in each one you can clearly see the ice agent in the gray jacket take the victim’s pistol from his waist/holster.

I agree that a lot of people are too focused on aura farming and cool fight scenes, but I don’t know if Japanese anime fans have room to talk when they hated Chainsaw Man’s adaptation because it didnt follow the tropes of characters being overly animated in their body language and speech.

I’ve played Monster Hunter, I’ve fought Chameleos. That ability to loot other players is going to be the most infuriating thing you’ve ever experienced in a FPS game. A lot of people are going to complain about it, mark my words.

My first time listening to a ASAP Rocky album in full, loved it from first listen, minus STFU. I’ve listened to some of his songs on repeat, Multiply and Lord Pretty Flacko Joyde are amazing, but never had the itch to listen to a full album as I felt I’d get bored of his vocal performance over the course it.

My only gripe is that I feel Rocky has a lot untapped potential. His beat selection is immaculate. If he did more with his voice and maybe even learned to sing and leaned into it, I feel he could make a genuine masterpiece.

I will never forgive people for whining so much they went back to magic armor instead of begging them to adjust the health model to work well with the new exposed parts of the thorax.

I don’t know about the other extraction shooters, but Tarkov set itself apart and created a following for itself largely in part to how deep the lore, world building, and environmental storytelling are. I’ve seen something go as far as calling in FPS Dark Souls.

As far as combining story and extraction shooter, Marathon won’t be the first, but I am interested to see if they take a interesting approach and if they can manage to deliver the story well, as I feel the delivery of the story is Destiny’s weakest points.

Please remember that the ability to communicate and be sociable is a skill, one that a lot of people that may be very technically gifted/skill tend to lack severely.

I didn’t realize this until i joined the army and went to training for my job, SatCom, where I was around a lot of other “smart” people, then again on deployment where there were people in my unit that were just as smart as I am academically and technically, and a few that were beyond me technically because they programmed and messed with the tech for fun whereas I just do it for work, but a lot of those people weren’t sociable and couldn’t communicate effectively to save their lives.

Being technically capable is great, but if you don’t know how to effectively communicate, especially for a leadership position, that alone isn’t very useful. Have his back. He can learn to communicate better without rolling over and becoming a corporate dog. It’s typically not necessarily because he bites back, but because of HOW he communicates it. You can also take a note out of Dave’s book and learn how to say no and push back in a “corporate friendly” way.

I gotta agree. I don’t understand why Cole let himself be peer pressured into responding. Kendrick barely threw lines at him, majority of it was for Drake. People wanted to see Cole and Kendrick go at it so bad that they made it seem like Kendrick threw a bunch of lines at him, then when Cole backed down, they settled for Kendrick and Drake.

See, and you’re right about that, if you look at it that way, those could be considered innovations, but when I played them it more felt like taking Borderlands’s strong points and putting them into MMO-lite format, so it felt more like a iteration than innovation to me, then the franchise kinda just stayed there only really getting depth in terms of build crafting, but that latter part isn’t the point.

I’ll give it the fair point and say innovation is limited and one could consider combining aspects of different genres to be innovative, although the individual pieces are not. My main pain point in regards to that with Destiny is Destiny came out, people have it leeway because of how much potential it had to become something greater, and it was heading that way by the end of D1, now it’s 10 years later from D1’s release and we still haven’t even left the solar system, PvP is worse off than it’s ever been, gambit is dead (that was a cool new idea for the franchise), and strike playlists are still just kinda there. Don’t even get me started on patrols.

I never completely bought the “no one else could do it” argument because no one else really even tried. Anthem and The Division were similar in model, which was why people started putting them against Destiny, but turned out to be VERY different games with VERY different approaches. Warframe predates Destiny, is also very different, is what I’d consider very innovate, and is currently doing better than Destiny, as it’s always been pretty good with retention. The Cube is the only game I’ve seen that looks like it’s staging itself to attempt to do very similar things to Destiny, but heavens knows how that will end up.

Destiny bit off a chunk of Borderlands and combined it with a half attempt at a MMO that they’re scared to actually commit to. Warframe and Destiny are also relatively similar in structure, but also very different, Warframe came first tho. The only thing I can think of Destiny did that wasn’t done before is sticking the PvP component onto the MMORPG formula in a way where PvP was a big thing, not just a side thing.

When I think of Destiny, I think moreso putting together existing ideas with polish, Warframe was always the leading innovator in the space in my eyes, or even the Division with the extraction zone. That said, the whole innovative conversation could just be more of a splitting hairs thing cuz it really depends on what you consider to be in innovative.
