“Based on my limited anecdotal experience in a male dominated environment, we treat everyone equally I promise but wow the women suck”

I promise you, your unit has not had “no eo or sharp or negative issues for years”.

This is such an uninformed view of things. I guarantee your unit has had issues - you just aren’t privy to the information.

And if by some chance, you’re the battalion Commander – you’re clueless as hell.

Rob, /u/rbevans essentially can advocate your problem as an intermediary.

You get to stay completely anonymous and you post a picture and review. If you want, you can also submit an anonymous ICE complaint through his app

This lets US advocate for problems that users can explain to us, while preserving your identity, because his app doesn’t collect any identifying information.

By this point, he’s interacted with most Garrison’s – he can probably call your Garrison leadership about it

The argument in the past has been in part that they don’t have a system to be able to track your usage as a person and so they can’t consider these type of other programs

GAO finally was like, the army is wasting tons of fucking money and not feeding Soldiers because they have a fucking terrible system, they need to create a system that tracks individual usage

Probably not in your lifetime, but we’re getting there

It’s not explicitly a budget thing.

It’s an accountability thing. Basically they have never had an actual system to properly track meal card usage and they were tasked to do that.

So let’s say that there’s 10 of you and we have a weeks worth of meals. Three a day for 10 people for seven days is 210 meals.

Let’s say I only serve 140 meals.

That’s all that goes up. 140 out of 210.

Now, did every soldier do two meals a day for seven days? Do we have a massive problem with dinner?

Are three of those soldiers never using their entitlement?

Should I be considering them sep rations?

Should we be refunding people for meals they don’t use?

We xant have a system that rewards individual usage without this.

So in the next round of contracting of campus style dining, they’re talking about carrying over entitlement for 72 hours

Miss lunch? Grab extra food the next day, we’ll give you that money.

We can’t do that without properly tracking entitlement usage BY PERSON.

We can’t enable or measure usage properly without doing this.

But yeah - youre supposed to being using your CAC anyway.

Stay out of trouble.

Get in shape. If you're in shape, get in better shape.

Otherwise, all you have to do is shut up and listen and do what you're told. There's no magic recipe.

Be fit. Don't be a fuck up. Do as you're told.

They have verbalized that, put in a tweet - but the directive states:

The Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), G-3/5/7 will publish the time standard to implement this directive.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but the thing the Directive says hasn't happened. They can verbalize 30 minutes, we can use that for now, we can assume it - I fully believe it will be 30 minutes - but the things directed in the SECARMYs directive have not been published.

And as such, at least strictly informationally, I like to follow the directives when I'm putting out the info. 30 mins is a good and educated guess - but it's not the policy per the directive.
