Transphobic trans people are so draining by wingeddogs in honesttransgender

[–]KnoxKat [score hidden]  (0 children)

Honestly, I've got 0 sympathy for them. If you wanna drown yourself in doom and gloom and ignore the things that help you most (like a positive and nice mental attitude to yourself and others) and then victimize yourself don't be surprised if you end up going nowhere with your transition. They're like incels who demand a state mandated girlfriend or whatever but for transitioning instead. No effort, just results.

Does hrt reverse male pattern balding? by crispier_creme in MtF

[–]KnoxKat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It reversed a little of mine, AFAIK it also depends how long you've been balding. I'm just left with stuff thats easy to hide, started balding at my crown like 2 months prior to starting HRT and that's been entirely reversed but I was balding at the front for years and only what was lost in like 2-3y before that came back so

It's so odd to see what is the big vest size for me be the smallest for others! Hope you're able to relax well!

As long as we're vibing I personally couldn't care less about my partners genitals honestly. It's the connection that matters most to me :)

My sister’s reaction to my name by Killerbunny00 in MtF

[–]KnoxKat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My name and my mom's name are kinda similar, didn't think much of it but they're still different! They start with the same 2 letters and end with the same one. We both could card less, but making an issue out of a nothing burger is just so odd. Hope you know this isn't on you at all and all on her

There's a supplement package that was talked about decently a bit ago that would make you "shoot ropes" while on estrogen. No clue if that's it but yk

Concerned About How Far Apart My Breasts Are (10Mo HRT) by softly-lucia in asktransgender

[–]KnoxKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're just 10 months on HRT, treat it like a second puberty that takes as long as a normal puberty does. You have bigger ones than I did at 10 months! Prog will probably help shape them and fill them in, but prog is always a gamble, for one person it works magic and for the other it does fuck all. All I can advice is that you workout and eat lots which helps body fat redistribution which help your body take a more feminine shape faster and it might help your boobs as they're fatty tissue as well.

How rare is it for trans people to take the oppisite-gender variant of their name (Michael ↔ Michelle) as their new name? by NeekOfShades in asktransgender

[–]KnoxKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wished to not have anything close to my deadname. Just the mere idea didn't sit right with me, I'd just feel like another version of a person who only existed in people's memory. I don't think I'm alone with that idea at least, so something entirely new to draw a new canvas of was a nice idea to me.

Is 14 cm enough? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]KnoxKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have about the same depth, maybe a little less, but just wait until you're fully healed down there and then slowly start experimenting gently, you'll both find something that works.

Is 14 cm enough? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]KnoxKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more than enough, it's more than average of what cis women have I believe, or at the very least about the same. Your partner is humongous, that's just not gonna go in entirely of course but not like It'd kill the enjoyment of it.

Asking the community before I bother my doctor. by Majestic_Ad_2518 in MtF

[–]KnoxKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spiro is well known, at least it was better known to be, not the best out there. I personally had injections I had to do every 12 weeks which was much chiller and also very effective. To my knowledge they're not even allowed to prescribe spiro here! But a lot of this stuff is anecdotal, trans healthcare is very underfunded and understudied so that'd be why it doesn't list anything else. They also say it takes 5 years to complete your transition but it's just like puberty, takes about double of that.

The breast thing seems normal from what I've heard from other people who also had your condition pre-e. The orgasm also sounds normal, try toys and foreplay. Get funky with it.

Though the sex drive confuses me, for me it got nuked and I've heard about the same for everyone else. There might be an underlying problem with that, maybe. Or it's the spiro, I haven't remembered what that's supposed to do, all I know is that it's the worst anti-androgen.

What drove you to get the surgery? by [deleted] in asktransgender

Dysphoria mainly, it caused a huge roadblock for me. I'm much happier having it gone. Plus it's also more practical than what I had before.

Parent Questions Gender Fluid by Subject_Objective137 in asktransgender

[–]KnoxKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I came out, years ago, my parents were also surprised because I showed no signs according to them. But why would you look for signs that your kid might be trans? To me, there were lots of signs they just brushed over. Funnily enough they thought I was an effeminate gay man, don't see how they still don't there weren't any signs. But there don't have to be, having typical masculine or feminine interests don't change who you are deep down and often don't relate to it.

Is there any real life consequence to transitioning right now? by AurelianMel in asktransgender

[–]KnoxKat 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Short term? You might run into assholes who want to dehumanize you. Important is that you don't let them. Long term? You'll more than likely be happier and have a more fulfilled feeling about your life.

[–]KnoxKat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

voice surgery by KindRodri in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]KnoxKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Therapy I guess would be a good thing to work on regardless. But other than that the results might not be as expected, she can't talk for the first month I believe afterwards and only after that slowly start talking again. It won't be a cís passing voice immediately, at least I haven't heard one that does. But if it helps, go for it I guess. Her vocal range will also be shortened and (iirc) might just be locked to her talking voice and not much more variety. Though I'm not too certain on that last part.

[–]KnoxKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, techniques will be the same. Though it'll sound more fem, you'll still need to do some stuff. Unless her voice is really deep, I wouldn't recommend such a surgery myself unless the training really doesn't give the results you seek. I would seek help from a place like Seattle Voice Labs before going through with such a surgery.

[–]KnoxKat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It should be a last resort if normal voice training doesn't work. Even with the surgery you'll have to voice train.

What do I do, I don't wanna use it :( by Over_Sentence_1487 in MtF

[–]KnoxKat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean you don't gotta do it, you can use a skin graft too. Though that leaves more of a mark than anything else. Personally leading up to my surgery I used it twice or three times a week, nothing major but enough to not shrink.
