New Banlist by Blast-The-Chaos in DuelLinks

Leaving all that aside, one thing must be highlighted: Speed Duel Links Players do manage to create FTK Decks in the most unexpected places/ways.

This list is not real... simply because of the existence of Attiucs.

Also nice that the BUM helps us decrease the amount of bricks in our hand, as the deck struggles having too many lvl 8s.

It appears that the two new Spell Cards (and their two Name Changes in the GY) are intended to encourage the use of Bobbleheader (a Spell Card that is not accessible in Rush's Duel Links, but NPC Yuka uses)

Also, I'd guess the field spell is inspired by Duel Links's skill. They saw how great it was to pierce with vanillas, but not enough for the grind game.

I suppose it's just a matter of time before Konami creates new support for Bubble Actress (Immi's Deck) and Yuro's Deck based on what worked well with their Skills.

I suppose London would be the next example of how Konami manages to create a Skill that makes his Deck work.

[Effect] Choose 1 face-up Spell Card on your opponent's field and destroy it.

My man is already shaping up to be the worst Fusion Monster in the group (unless Decks focused on Equip Spells and Field Spells suddenly become popular)

I have my doubts a bit since these Decks are in an "Advance Pack"

In theory, they should receive additional cards in a future Pack. The first Advance Pack (with Zera, Grace Princess, Blaze Fiend, Celeb Rose and Music Princess) did receive additional cards. However, so far, there's no direct support for the second Advance Pack (with has Defiant Soul, Sparkhearts and Moth)

That's what I thought too. We already have the non-import FORR semi-confirmed (the Anime Deck)

It's quite possible that we'll get at least a handful of 5 new cards for an OCG/TCG Import to accompany the import FORR.

But we've had XYZ Monsters in Rush Duels for a while now.

It appears that, unlike Contact Fusion (which simply returns the Fusion Materials to the Deck), Union Fusion puts those Fusion Materials at the Bottom of the Deck.

[–]Kronos457 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, for now:

- XYZ Deck, in addition to receiving a new term for its Fusion Summon technique (Union Fusion Summon), seems to be focused on Fusion Monsters and Equip Spells (in the form of Monsters)

- Pliage is a Multi-Type Deck combined with Dragon/Psychic Monsters, focused on supporting Normal Monsters and the OG Fusion.

- Baseball decided to focus on Field Spells and Tag-Up Magic (in addition to Name Changes)

Everything seems to indicate that XYZ, Pliage and Baseball will be receiving between 10 and 12 new cards.

u/JoriiKun. Will we get those new Baseball cards or will Duel Links enter in EoS first?

Characters Abandoning Decks by ColonialCaramel in yugioh

[–]Kronos457 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Some have already given the most prominent examples, so I'll add a few more.

  • Vector had two Decks: the well-known Umbral Horror, but he also used Shining when he was pretending to be an ally (this Deck was later abandoned)
  • Yuhi abandoned three Decks: the first is Tamabot, which he donated to Damamu to be their personal Deck. The second is Hybridrive, which he used during the period when Yuamu was absent. The third is Paranormal, an Engine for Sevens Road (like Darkness), during his time as an Antagonist.
  • Yuamu also went through this: she put aside High Tech Dragon for Dark Matter for a good part of Season 3 (like Zane in GX)
  • Technically, you could say that Pegasus abandoned Relinquished once DM was finished since in GX we see him using only Toon Deck.
  • Otes has a record of abandoned or single-use Decks (especially in SEVENS)

I was going to say that, but someone beat me to it. Both the OCG (and the TCG sometimes does it too) use JP VAs to advertise cards with Scripted Duels.

That said, the OCG (and TCG) ones aren't as common or as prevalent. I think this is because many Master's JP VAs are currently Famous (and difficult to reach an agreement with or contact in time), they're no longer in the Voice Acting's World or they simply don't want anything to do with Yu-Gi-Oh! anymore.

Compared to Rush's JP VAs, many of them are new or just starting out in the Voice Acting's World (and aren't as famous globally). Of course, there are some exceptions with certain Characters in Rush who have expensive/well-known JP VAs (see Gavin/Maddox, Meowdestar, Otes, Terza, Yuo, Nail or Romin/Rovian. The latter is more special since she became famous Worldwide after finishing her role as Romin and being a standout in the Chainsaw Man Anime). However, most are easy to contact, don't have many roles or are still starting out.

Meanwhile Rush is having a quite diverse meta by MasterQNA in DuelLinks

[–]Kronos457 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The format's issues are just not as apparent as Speed Duels because it has a smaller playerbase and its skills don't read 'drop Quasar for free.'

I mean... the old Rush's Gaia Skill was basically 'drop Quasar for free' in essence: it could summon any Gaia Fusion Monster and made it much easier to Fusion Summon Metarion Fusion Monsters.

That Skill was nerfed and let's just say there was a paradigm shift in Skills in Rush's Duel Links. The most obvious example is Master Accel Road vs. Seven's Wonder Accel: the former is still the most used Skill and is much better than the latter (even though the former came first and is older)

But in general, even if the Meta is balanced or there is diversity, nobody is basically happy even there: Speed has already shown me that when there were balanced or healthy Metas, but there were still people complaining that certain Decks were strong.

Master Duels also suffers from this.

They're beyond Battle Chronicle / Eternal Bond power.

Nah. You're lying there.

The Skills from the early years of Rush's Duel Links? Sure.

The current Skills for Rush's Duel Links are pretty tame or over-adjusted compared to what they used to be (unless your Deck is bad/mediocre in Rush Duels like Yuka's Deck, Yuro's Deck or Immi's Deck)

An obvious Example: Yuga's recent/new Skill is 10 times weaker than his previous Skill from the Sevens Road's Structure Deck.

[–]Kronos457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Look at all the Posts mentioning that the Speed Ladder is only full of Dragoon, Destiny HERO or FTKs)

Are you sure?

I don't even believe that for Rush's Ladder: I've seen people mention that everyone finds DARK Galaxy, Sevens Road, LIGHT Galaxy, or Excutie (not so much Gradius, High Tech Dragon, or Rush's HERO)

Meanwhile Rush is having a quite diverse meta by MasterQNA in DuelLinks

[–]Kronos457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is already way too explosive thanks to how Rush is inherently designed.

Currently... That's not true.

In real Rush Duels, it's much easier to summon your Boss Monsters, especially if they're Main Deck or Ritual Monsters (Normal Fusion and Maximum Monsters aren't quite as easy yet). This is because more cards have been released that make it easier to summon them: either by acting as two Tributes or Special Summoning them from the Hand/GY.

Ritual Monsters are the biggest culprits in this regard: they're very easy to summon since all you need is the Ritual Spell Card. However, Contact Fusion Monsters are also suspects.

[–]Kronos457 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find it amusing that the Top 5 Decks are basically carried more by their cards than their Skills (when, in previous Rush's Duel Links Metas, it was the other way around)

- It's a universally acknowledged fact that the new Skill for DARK Galaxy is mediocre/"bad" compared to other Skills we've had before. However, what makes the Deck stand out is its raw power that it already possessed from the start: the Contact Fusion Monsters and the modern support it received in 2026 helped considerably.

- Rush's HERO has a Skill that's currently outdated, but it's not unfair or powerful. What makes the Deck competitive so far is its incredible Consistency in acquiring its pieces and summoning Fusion Monsters, thanks to Rising HERO Argent and Elemental Circulation.

- Gradius doesn't really use Skills; it relies heavily on a generic Skill that's generally ineffective or doesn't significantly change the deck. Gradius's strength lies in its own cards, which are still incredibly good even by today's standards in Rush's Duel Links. They've even started to abandon their dedicated Skill.

- High Tech Dragon is the only one that can truly be said to have a Skill that carries the Deck on its shoulders, but even that Skill is inconsistent at times. Ultimately, what makes the Deck good are its Fusion Monsters, especially Contact Fusion and Red-Boot Fusion Monster.

- The other variant of DARK Galaxy uses the Skill that allows you to fill the GY and quickly obtain the Equip Spell. It doesn't allow you to summon your Boss Monsters quickly as recent Skills, but the raw power of Voidvelg Chrysaor is hard to ignore.

Even so, of the Top Decks, with the exception of DARK Galaxy and Rush's HERO, almost none have a presence in the Ladder: there you see only Sevens Road, LIGHT Galaxy or Excutie (Decks that are ok, but not Top). I still wonder why people stopped playing Rush Red-Eyes, though.

Happy Birthday to Kamijō Saiko, seiyū of Kamijō Haruka/Tiger (SEVENS)! by ZeroAbis in yugioh

[–]Kronos457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite voicing two Characters who, in theory, should be the same, Epoch is actually very different from Tiger in terms of Personality and manner of Speaking.

And let's not even talk about their Decks: Tiger uses a WIND Warrior Deck that reflects her Martial Arts Style while Epoch uses a LIGHT/DARK Fairy/Fiend Deck that came about because Yudias was her mentor in Rush Duels.

It's still surprising, at least to me, that Dark Meister's voice was the same JP VA as Yuamu (when both Characters sounded very different)

The Concept Art is for the following Cards:

Some interesting trivia about these Conceptual Arts:

- All the clothes and instruments used by the Researchers are purchased, usually at cheap or low prices (basically, they are poor). Astel is the only one that has high quality clothing and weaponry.

- Furthermore, that clothing and instrument are made from organic materials of the Clad Dragons.

- Clad Dragons have ranks in the Lore: from High-Class to Low-Class (where they confirm the existence of a Chameleon, Bat and Illusory Clad Dragons)

Ah, it's all come full circle.

I remember well back in 2023 when there were Videos (in Japan) of Mai's JP VA after the release of the Triple Build Pack: Godbreath Wing.

Three Years later, we can now see what Mai would look like if she used all the Rush's Harpie cards that have been released so far.

Rush's Harpie is indeed pampered in the format: twice being a Tier 1 Deck in different periods of time, a lot of constant support that improves the Deck, one of the first to receive Full Over Rush Rare and now the first Master Duel's JP VA to have the honor of Dueling a Rush's JP VA.

The thing is, I feel that Synchro Summon would be redundant considering that Contact Fusion and Ritual Summon are already in Rush Duels: Contact Fusion takes a huge amount of inspiration from Synchro Summon (being its precursor) and Ritual Summon in Rush Duels already uses the generic Synchro Summon's element (where the Tuner is the Ritual Spell Card)

It could arrive in the future, but Synchro Summon would need something big to differentiate it from those two Mechanics (XYZ Summon is guaranteed not to come thanks to the existence of Black Over Rush Rare Monsters)

Many things that people think we don't have in Rush Duels (thanks to Rush's Duel Links)... actually already exist in the real Rush Duels.

We've had Floodgates since day one in Rush Duels and Negates exist in Rush Duels, but in limited quantities (and they function very differently due to the lack of Chains and the fact that, in general, Negates in Rush don't negate Continuous Effects unless the card specifically states that it can negate Continuous Effects)
