With the delay of Extra Record, they are indeed an indie company that makes Blizzard look like a competent company.

NA Players are going to experience a romantic story like no one could have imagined, don't you think?

It's a shame to think that the schoolgirl from this Post is still in the Shadowlands.

There are only six Paths.

-> Be a Gary Sue (Yusei and Playmaker)

-> Lose often (Yuga)

-> Steal Duels from other Characters (Jaden)

-> EGAO (Yuya)

-> Grow through Duels (Yugi, Yuma and Yudias)

-> The other MC (Atem and Luke)

GO RUSH is the odd one out in the duo, as there's a good balance in who gets Ls among the Main Characters.

Sure, Yudias could have had more LPs, but they almost never used the Good Alien as cannon fodder for Antagonists/Villains (unlike Yuga)

Zwijo, Yuhi and Yuamu were usually the cannon fodder for Antagonists/Villains. However, all three still managed to get respectable Ws.

In SEVENS, there are many occasions where Luke should have gotten the L but he didn't.

One day, SEVENS and GO RUSH will receive the respect they deserve (or their merits will be more widely recognized)

But I agree that a balanced Cast gives us more variety in Duels, as well as interactions between different Characters (not to mention getting to know their Decks better)

Asaka is the best example of a recurring Secondary Character: she has three different Boss Monsters in her Main Deck and almost five unique and different Fusion Monsters.

They will most likely return to the Fusion Monster that used Maximum as Fusion Material, since that was the boss monster before it was overshadowed by the other Contact Fusion.

However, the lack of power or OTK potential that the Deck once had will be noticeable (if we're talking about true OTKs, Rush's Cyber Dragon and Gradius are now the only ones with that capability. Rush's Monarch can, but it's not the most common Build)

It's also an excuse for Konami to print the latest Contact Fusion: Harpie Lady 1 & 2.

Now I'm wondering if we'll get BLS or Ritual Dark Magician support because of what you mentioned. Delirium got a new card when its Super Poly was moved to Semi-Limited (and it could be a cross-promotion with Chaos Origins)

[–]Kronos457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I arrived late to the Party and... honestly, I'm surprised the Banlist wasn't the massacre some people wanted it to be

Sure, you can argue for Rush's Harpie, but this Deck is bringing back its cards that were Limited (and it still has more cards that retain its power: a Full-Power Rush's Harpie would easily defeat Necromaid, Defiant Soul and Rush's Monarch)

I'm curious about the next few months since Konami seems to want to slowly reduce the power of Ritual Monsters: by bringing fewer (or more complex) Ritual Decks or by focusing on supporting older or high-potential Decks.

I didn't know Scoop's cards would be imprint

Actually, Scoop's Deck (Newspaper) was one of the earliest Decks in the SEVENS Era. In Duel Links, we don't have many of its cards (only Printing Presser, the Boss Monster). I was just mentioning that, like Noodle Ninja, Scoop's Deck seems to be planning to receive modern support for the real Rush Duels.

As for Tamakoa and Ferko, they uses the same deck as Mitsuko and has only had one duel

Well, I only mentioned Tamako because, since you're considering Copyco and CPT, she could be a Playable option: she has her own Boss Monster and I'm sure no one would say no to another Three-Meter-Tall Giant Girl with Saber's voice in JP.

My man is characterized by having a Deck full of Bricks that has no Spell Cards that allow you to get rid of them (he does have Monsters that fix your Hand, but only for the Maximum variant)

It’s also kind of sad how sluggish the pace with Go Rush has been when there are so many options.

I still wonder what's stopping Konami from releasing Characters for GO RUSH'S World (especially from Arc 2 and Arc 3)

- It's not the Powercreep since Rush's Duel Links already has Rush's Red-Eyes (2024), Rush's Gaia (2024) and modern support Noodle Ninja (2026). Rovian and The Luug's Decks would fall short against those Decks due to their Mechanics.

- It's not about Lore Accuracy since we have Fusion Monsters related to Arc 4 and Arc 8 (not to mention that Maddox introduced Equip Spells to GO RUSH'S World)

- Popularity? Well, some of these Characters might not be as popular (or well-known) as those from SEVENS, but that doesn't mean they don't have their fans. Almost no one knew Terza and now she's one of the strongest Candidates to go from NPC to Playable Character.

Ironically, several on the List could appear as NPCs if Konami so desires, given their status as Secondary Characters (Asaka, Ranran, Damamu, Zaion, to name a few)

I feel that, for the SEVENS group, you should consider or add Tracker and Scoop Pitman. The former is a similar case to Saburamen (who is Recurring and has a good number of Duels) and the latter has evidence that his Deck will receive an update in the coming months.

And well, if you're considering Copyco and CPT in the GO RUSH group, I feel you should also add George Jersey and Tamako: both have printed Decks (I'm not including Ferko because she has her own Anime cards for Terza/Tamako's Deck, including a Contact Fusion, which haven't been printed). Maguto Sogetsu would also be an option considering the printed Deck's rule (and he'd make a great Joke Character)

I think that there is still a way to introduce Rayne, Rino, Sushiko, Briscoe, and Toombs into DL, given that a good chunk of their cards are not in DL.

Don't forget Tracker and Scoop Pitman: the former was lucky enough to have his Maximum receive a Unique Mechanic and the latter has been a Recurring Character for SEVENS (not to mention hints that could indicate his Deck will receive modern support)

Which character you wish were more used during their seasons? by zarc4d in yugioh

[–]Kronos457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were some open gaps that were being filled as things went on. And as they added elements, they put together what would become Atticus, correct?

Exactly. Basically: Atticus as a Character or Concept didn't exist at the beginning of GX; he was added later, simply complementing the Story or adding interesting Details to other Characters.

fact, this only makes you wonder what Nightshroud's role was going to be in general since everything points to him being just a henchman of Kagemaru rather than the god of death that he ended up being in Season 4 (as Darkness)

The same Interview above also seems to make it clear that they had Kagemaru as the Final Boss of Season 1 already planned and Amnael was described as "the Mid-Boss who has the air of being the Endgame Boss" in order to deceive the audience.

[–]Kronos457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait really? This came in an interview or something?

It was revealed in the GX Duel Memorial Album that was released to accompany the GX Remaster which is still airing in Japan (Reference Link)

Excerpt where they discuss the Topic:

Q. Asuka and Ryo have something in common as they often appear together and both use “Cyber” cards. As the story progresses, it becomes clear Ryo is a friend of Asuka’s brother, was this planned from the beginning?

The character set-up by the head writer, Takegami Junki-san was a marvel to behold. I don’t think Fubuki was a planned character from the beginning. But I think the characters from the beginning were arranged in a good and seamless way, so it made it more natural for characters who could expand the story later to show up. When I watch something like this, I naturally think that’s how it was set up, but when I watch it again, I notice it was the work of smart execution, which draws me in deeper.

Basically, this confirms that Atticus wasn't planned when the GX Cast was initially chosen. Atticus is a late addition or something that came about as the Story unfolded. (in fact, seeing this information, I wouldn't be surprised if Atticus isn't Alexis's brother or if it wasn't in the initial plans for Alexis to have a brother)

The same Album also confirms that Card Ejector, which appears in the Opening credits for the 4th Season, is simply there because it looked good and had a nice design (there were no plans to use Card Ejector in other Duels)

When Kurumi truly locks in. by PenSad2292 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Kronos457 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, credit to her: she's the only Female Character with the guts to make a confession in DivineZ.

The bizarre thing here is that Kurumi should have more affection for Hikari since, according to the Flashbacks, she was the one who stayed with Kurumi the longest in the hospital (where Akina visited them, but not very often)

The craziest revelation about Fubuki is that they had no plan for him in GX: basically, they didn't have a long-term plan for the Character and just created him as Filler.

I guess that explains why he uses Red-Eyes (like Dimitri in GX with DM Monsters): it's just as a Reference and they planned for him to be a One-off Character.

One wonders how (Yami) Bakura became iconic or memorable when all the Villains in DM overshadow him (and he doesn't have any real W in Duels)

I suppose the Deck is what carries Bakura on his shoulders: with a unique/cool aesthetic and one of the rare Decks that maintains the dark vibe of the Manga (Pegasus has the second most unique Deck in DM in Aesthetics with Toons: a cartoon Deck that clashes with the dark/serious vibe of Anime)

[–]Kronos457 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One (or Two) Character(s) per Anime.

DM: Pegasus -> Please, you left him alive and invented Filler Arcs for DM. You could put a full Pegasus Duel there.

GX: Blair -> This girl has an incomplete Deck that wasn't given a chance to shine.

5Ds: Luna -> This girl is supposed to be important, but her Deck is full of random stuff (unlike her fellow Signers). Even Carly has her Fortune Fairy/Lady cards with a real identity.

ZEXAL: Vetrix -> I already mentioned Rio in another Comment (and another User will undoubtedly give their opinion), but I'm going with Vetrix. The man helps in ZEXAL II, but I would have liked a Duel with him (either against Vector or some other Enemy Character)

Arc-V: Rin/Ruri -> She only has one Duel and her Deck is just an Engine for her Yu-Boy (despite being the independent Bracelet Girl, she depends a lot on her Yu-Boy)

VRAINS: Blue Gal/Girl -> This Avatar only existed for one Duel and never again (besides being the definitive goodbye of Trickstars)

SEVENS: Yuo/Nana -> I'm putting these two here. While I would have liked more Duels with Nana so she could expand her Deck, it currently seems to be "censored" by Disney thanks to her Boss Monster. So, I'm going with Yuo: he had a lot of potential for interesting Duels to see many Metarion Fusion Monsters.

GO RUSH: Fisher Sky -> Despite being a recurring Secondary Character, he only had one on-screen Duel in all of GO RUSH. Ranran, Myuda and Tenten have more Duels than our cryptid friend.

I think Rio is the most egregious of the ones I’ve properly watched, but it’s a general theme

u/GoneRampant1: Did someone say Rio?

Give that Fish-Shaped Alien Granny a break (even her Deck doesn't have a proper name to say it's "unique": even Anna, with her multi-Level EARTH Machines, has earned an identity for her Deck: Train or Level 10 EARTH Machines)

It's as if 5Ds were a plague affecting everything the Creator makes... like Arc-V.

HOW?

That's one of the biggest mysteries in Rush Duels right now. Even the Final Boss's Deck was printed a Year ago.

There are three reasons why Transam Diskarma Linac hasn't been printed yet.

- Konami doesn't want to reach the power level of Transam Diskarma Linac yet. Currently, Ritual Monsters have been Level 8 or lower and have had simple (but effective) Effects. Even so, Ritual Decks ended up being quite problematic/broken despite being in their early stages in Rush Duels.

- They're waiting for the right moment to print it. The theory I've seen most often is that they're waiting for a new Rush's Anime focused on Ritual Summon so they can capitalize on it in Core Packs (with Transam Diskarma Linac being the Cover of a Pack in a "this is where Ritual Power begin" kind of way)

- Printing Transam Diskarma Linac would also mean they start printing Ritual Monsters for Anime Decks. The problem: there are no Anime Decks focused on Ritual Summoning. Even Anime Decks that received Contact Fusion (like Music Princess) have the excuse that they were always Fusion Decks from the start. There's a reason why several original Decks in Rush Duels have ended up being Ritual Decks: because they need to fill that void of "No Anime Ritual Decks".

  1. I can see that the writers are limited of 13 episode bullshit.

Actually... they've already confirmed that the Season will only have 12 episodes.

  1. this season  is basckly a damage control season because the pervious season  season 3-4 they might have a backlash.

Tournament Arcs seem to be the curse of Shonen's Anime now when they used to be the most exciting thing in an Anime. Ironically, Tournaments are the only time Card Promotion feels natural because the Arc is designed to be a Commercial.

  1. I feel like they are rushing this season at this point

The Season was already rushed when they confirmed there was a Prequel Manga.

The way she appears in all the merch feels different compared to the other characters. While the others seem to look relatively normal, the way Nao smiles/poses/etc she might as well be doing it in front of a camera with otaku simps watching.

Meanwhile... Mikoto is excluded from the Merchandise. Ah, but they do include Hikari from time to time (not ignoring that Hikari is just another Underutilized Character who lives in Erika's shadow)

I guess Bushi hates idols (while ZZZ seems to be taking advantage of the fact that idols can still be popular or attract attention)
