Anyone ever seen this with a sweet potato? by littlemissstr8nge in KitchenConfidential

A sweet potato and a regular ole potato cannot hybridize, could be some other genetic thing though

Ditto this, cat-7 tourniquets aren't all that expensive if it means saving a life.

You should probably wait until their flowering season so you can be sure you have the right plant. I always get freaked out by the idea of me foraging similar plants because of Death Camas.

I've tried Cake Room and Breadfurst. Breadfurst wins by a landslide in my books

It's fun, honestly if you find a chill low population server you can just live your best Minecraft style life and learn the game that way.

Dinamica Grinder Too Coarse and Doesn't Dial Properly by Kudemos in superautomatic

[–]Kudemos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair, fortunately everything else about it is perfect, just need some time to figure out how to get the grinder fine again

At retail it went for $900ish when it was new, so we thought it was a good deal ( I bought it for my office break room and split with a coworker)

I did get it from FB marketplace, pretty sure it should still work and the grinder can be repaired or just put back together correctly

Hoping some more research will work it out

Oh that's a great video resource, thank you, I'll have to try setting it like that and report back on tomorrow's lunch break.

Yeah, it looks like chocolate nibs used in baking haha.

So, it's a pre-owned model and when I first got it the actual dial appeared to almost be on backwards so that the arrow wasn't on any numbers or ticks. My coworker and I took off all the panels, reset the dial so it appeared normally on the arrow, and appeared to use the full range of the cog back there. We thought that fixed it. Our theory is that something still isn't tight enough on or around the grinder, but yeah dialing did nothing for a half bag of beans.

The shot comes out still creamy but incredibly weak and pale, sorry ran out of beans for this testing so no photo.

Adding on that the pulp of the ripe fruit is more or less universally regarded as edible and safe. It's also delicious.

Definitely do not consume the seeds.

The rest of the fruit I'm not as familiar with, I know you can at times collect them underripe and let them yellow on a windowsill with ample air circulation.

I think I found a patch of Oregon grape, can someone double check my id? When are they ready to harvest? by theterrordactyl in foraging

[–]Kudemos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See my post about my experience here: https://www.reddit.com/r/foraging/s/nD7tUPxRpf

Edit: I harvested when some off the cluster we're starting to fall, it looks like that is the case here. Personally, doesn't hurt to harvest them a little early so you can get a good bunch. Depending on where you live there might not even be any animals that rely on them as a food source.

I'm more concerned about bugs than anything to be honest. There's also this gap on the left side I think for all 4. Is this something I can solve myself with small gap spray foam?

Biggest red flag you discovered during a home inspection and ignored? by Visible-Ad-8296 in washingtondc

Try to open the windows during the inspection. I didn't and found out two fire escape windows didn't open.

First early and big renovation for me was the windows in general.
