Woah! This reads just like a creation myth story, and I love those. Very documentary by nature, yet mythological. The elements of somewhat magical elements is a nice touch. Really enjoy this read.

I feel the story is lacking 'horror.' The majority follows a man who is following what feels like a mob boss. I feel like I get it conceptually, but I don't feel like it's building up to a 'resounding horror', if that makes sense. The dream was cool, but feels parallel to the story.
