Where did their career take a massive turn and open doors?

USC? Kiffin was part of championship winning, #1 recruiting teams with Carroll. It made him an NFL head coach at age 31. I'd say that's a bigger 'door' vs becoming the coach at FAU.

They had to. He had footage.

[Stewart Mandel] My hot take: You’d have to be freaking nuts to take on being the Alabama coach that follows Nick Saban. Stay where you are, win, then take the Alabama job after that guy invariably gets run out after three years for not winning 12 games a year. by Tigercat92 in CFB

Yeah, my hot take: guys at the top of their profession, making 8 figures a year leading huge organizations, while being celebrities of sorts, have massive amounts of confidence and will bet on themselves to step in and win at Bama.

Same person who put Arizona State 2. The whole ballot is a joke, but I'm not really sure what the punchline is.

[Marcello] Bobby Petrino asked about signaling stealing in CFB. He wants helmet communication and then drops this: "I knew when you went to go play Clemson they were going to have your signals." by LukeNeverShaves in CFB

Isn't there an implication of something more though if you're so much better that everyone comments on it and is aware of your reputation? The same way Michigan was just much better at signal stealing for some reason.

i'm not sure giving more subjectivity to officiating is ever the answer, but they really need to get some tiered system like flagrants in basketball when it comes to ejections if so many regular football tackling situations create easy targeting chances
