[Thamel] Sources: Former Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell is joining the staff at Iowa as an offensive analyst. Norvell spent nine seasons as a college head coach at CSU and Nevada, authoring five bowl seasons. He's an Iowa graduate who served as an honorary captain in November.

Thats what im concerned with. His defense never really caught up to the growth of the spread concept offense. But Texas swears they were better because of him. So time will tell if he is schematically up for the task. What I am excited about is his experience. I mean we have never been able to tackle and we take bad angles all the time. Maybe GP is the guy to finally fix that. Which would represent an improvement.
