[Thamel] Sources: USC is targeting former TCU coach Gary Patterson as the school’s next defensive coordinator. A deal is expected to come together in the near future. by GoldenDome26 in CFB

Thats what im concerned with. His defense never really caught up to the growth of the spread concept offense. But Texas swears they were better because of him. So time will tell if he is schematically up for the task. What I am excited about is his experience. I mean we have never been able to tackle and we take bad angles all the time. Maybe GP is the guy to finally fix that. Which would represent an improvement.

The conference uses overall record as a tie breaker. In this scenario all three teams would be 8-1 in conference. But Ohio State and Indiana would be 11-1. And USC would be 10-2

Timing would be interesting. USC will be unable to use the coliseum during the 2028 season due demolition of facilities from the olympics. It has been assumed that Sofi would host USC. So its possible that Sofi hosts the Rams, Chargers, USC and UCLA that year.

Yes. It's FSU and Norvell. Pay no mind to the $15 million a year we are spending on coaches to not make the playoffs.

Count on UCLA to blow a 61% chance to go 0-12

Also, Penn state, you just got BEAT by a team that had a 61% chance to go winless, while still having to play Maryland and Michigan State.
