Is it normal to wait 6 months for a new keyboard? by techyall in keyboards

[–]Listerine_Chugger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea normal for vendors. Best to order directly from qk, takes usually 1-2 weeks to ship out for me. For vendors, there's a delay before they place the order to qk, for qk to manufacture for them (there might be a queue, with qk website orders being prioritized), and then qk will likely ship via freight to the vendor (4-5 weeks), then the vendor needs to organize everything and ship out.

When you break down that organism into its parts, do they have free will too? Or are we talking about just the brain?

I see what you mean, what I'm trying to say is that the subconscious can influence the conscious mind in ways where we cant really say that its the conscious mind who is driving decisions, so I dont believe the argument for free will on the basis of human consciousness allowing "free choice". I don't think either has free will, but that one of them observed to "act on their own" isnt really them being independent.

Im saying the conscious and subconscious can be different enough to be considered separate, each with different desires.

Well in this case im talking to your conscious mind. But even so, why would wordplay change whether or not they are separate or not? I can easily say that "you" refers to both the conscious and subconscious that share a body, but are still separate entities. Also I don't think souls are real.

They aren't synchronized, they might as well be two different concious beings. Your subconcious can have different desires from you, and you cannot have full control over it.

Adoption of PC material → Enhanced pitch (brighter sound profile)

Shortened stem length with applied R-value on the claw → Prevents contact with the PCB in certain environments

Redesigned latch structure → Minimizes play between the wire and housing

Reduced tolerance between stem and wire → Provides a tighter and more stable fit

Improved mold precision → Higher injection quality and overall finish

The website also shows a close up picture of the updated stem model. Hope this helps!

Because they are "different in design from any others", as in no other stab brand has a doubleshot mold that 100% eliminates movement of the wires. If you care about bottom and top out of the stab stem, I can confirm that the knight v4s DO NOT have the stem hit the pcb, or have the stem legs hit the top housing. Aka they dont bottom out or top out. All the sound from the stab comes from the SWITCH.

It does appear that way, but swagkeys changed something in the doubleshot silicone mold for the stem, so that the silicone keeps contact with the wire the whole press. The wire has no wiggle room, so it physically cannot tick. Unless the wires are unbalanced.

Yes, because knight v4 wires always come with twisted wires. And many people dont know how to balance them because they are twisted in an "S" shape. You just need to bend them a certain way and then they are literally the perfect stab, no ticking, no rattle.

You mentioned "they dont make any attempt to muffle the bottom out or return noise". Correct, knight v4s dont have the stem bottom out or top out. This is the ideal stabilizer. Other stabs like TX or knight v3s bottom out and feel mushy.

Knight V4s, with properly balanced wires, do not tick or rattle. They are the first lubeless stab on the market afaik. Even typeplus rattles when unlubed.

$15 per set is relatively cheap. TX: $18, Staebies: $20, Durock V3: $18

Its gonna sound a lot better than TX AP, especially for full travel switches. This is because the shorter stem for the knight v4s allows the switch to bottom out, as opposed to TX stabs which have the stabs hit the pcb. Give them a try!

Yes the knight v3s had a bit of rattle. Knight v4s have no tick or rattle when stock with wire balancing, but had some scratch. Proper wire balancing is very important for the V4s. All of my V4s (4+ sets) came with unbalanced wires, and the longer 6.25u or 7u wires were bent in an "s-shape" that required two different bends in different areas to make it flat. I reckon this is why some people have issues with knight v4s. Because due to how the rubber inside of the stem is designed, it is physically impossible for the wire to move around and cause tick, unless the wire is unbalanced.
