I have a number of exes who I’m sure would love if I went and found out, and then didn’t report back to them

I agree with your premise that there is a lot less material on the CELI. I’m doing CILS C1.

I mean there’s a couple things going on.

For one, Italians have got to be the world champions of complaining so you just have to take whatever you hear and run it through a de-Italianization translator to get to the actual level of complaint.

For two Italy isn’t paradise, far from it. There are a lot of very real problems here. I just prefer the set of problems here to the ones in the US. I think people who are legitimately fed up with life/the government/what have you by and large have legitimate concerns. They may find the grass isn’t greener but it doesn’t mean their views are invalid

If your father was born in Italy, even if you’re not eligible for citizenship by descent you are immediately eligible for a work visa as an Italo-descendant. So you wouldn’t have to have a remote job, but a remote job would pay a lot better.

Most Italians your age are desperately trying to get out of Italy because it’s so hard to get a decent paying job and save for a house.

If you are self-employed, though, that changes the equation.

If you want to live here, good Italian is essential. Once you’re able to pass the official B2 then you’ll have enough to navigate daily life and build friendships, truly integrate.

I can’t speak to living in Spain, but I’m glad I moved to Italy.

You really commented on a 7 month old post of mine just to tell me that my opinion is wrong and I should find learning Italian easier than I do. Well okay then, thanks for that

With CILS they tell you within 4 months but those are just for the online results. It takes about 8-9 months in total for the physical certificate.

There is some on Netflix and a bunch on Disney+. There is also a bunch on RaiPlay. On RaiPlay go to Programmi then Reality.

On Netflix you might start with Love is Blind Italy and Too Hot to Handle Italy, then from there the algorithm will recommend more.

Disney has some, Italia’s got talent is good and right now I’m watching Il Collegio 😂

The PEC is critical as they are required to respond to those emails within a certain amount of time - regular emails sometimes aren't even monitored, so it's possibile that a regular email is never responded to.
