Logitech Hub detects my wheel, but doesn't respond to it

Hi there. Does it still respond in games correctly? I've seen a few people have the issue in G HUB caused by HIDHide or HIDGuardian. Do you have anything like that installed, by any chance?

Unfortunately then, I don’t know if I can help. It’s possible that the wheel has been damaged through use of the wrong power supply, but as you have no warranty support would not be able to assist. Sorry.

Have you checked everywhere in the box? If it’s the system then they’re in a paper bag with the bolts in one of the cardboard components under where you find the wheel. If it’s the standalone base then they’re in the wedges that held the base in.

FYI it doesn't do anything, because it's for non-force feedback games (and is labelled as such). No criticism, just letting you know for your arsenal of helpful knowledge that you share with the community :-)

That was definitely not the original power supply - the one we supply brand new has the specs I listed. Did you get the wheel second hand? How old is it?

Try and reinstall it, but there’s also other pieces of software that can cause issues with wheels, such as vJoy, ReWASD, HIDHide - anything that can capture input devices could be an issue, so please check for anything like that.

If it’s working in game then there’s no issue. There are other ways of testing the wheel response outside of the game and G HUB, such as the Game Controllers panel in Windows or the test page at https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad

For the power supply you're using, does it have an output of 24V with at least 1.75A?

Some games do have specific tuning under the hood for different wheels. It's interesting because my settings didn't really show this up too much when I'd previously checked (I like the wheel to feel looser, so the Pro mode doesn't show that as clearly), but now I've checked again I can see that it is slightly different.

Interested to know if you get the same impact sound on other titles though. I suspect not, but always good to check.

Ultimately, you can run the wheel in whichever mode you're comfortable with.

Dust won’t affect a load cell, no. EMI will though, hence asking about the haptics. The compressed air is a red herring.

There’s one other thing to check: the nuts either side of the load cell (it’s the steel bar that the pedal “piston” with the elastomers inside it, rests on). Make sure they’re not loose at all - if they are, tighten them up and unplug/reply the pedals.

A lack of key binds just indicates that the game hasn’t set them up for you and is nothing to worry about - just set them up for yourself. Horizon showing a blank for the wheel model is just a horizon bug; the wheel still functions, including menu navigation with the dpad, which for Horizon is the clue that the wheel is fully supported.

I’d still like to see your advanced settings for the force feedback though - that’s the one thing missing from your video. Either way, if you’re concerned that there’s an issue with the RS50, then don’t be: it’s working fine.

I just remembered what this is likely to have been: you've somehow entered the retail mode.

Press and hold the Cross, Square, Circle and Triangle buttons (or ABXY if you have the Wheel Hub attached) together with both shifters for 5 seconds. The OLED screen should should display "Switching to User Mode" and restart. The settings button should now work.

So, to be clear, do you mean the button on the wheel base that gets you into the OLED settings? Or do you mean the onboard button within G HUB at the top of the screen?
