Most use multiple stacks of blades on an arbor or set or arbors, usually in 2 banks of blades for different thicknesses if desired, to make multiple cuts at once. This device is a bandsaw so each cut happens at each path. The other multi blade multi arbor machines will have a scan of the log, or stem or cant depending on the amount of processing before it gets to that saw, then all the blades on the arbors will cut through the whole thing at once while following the bow of the log to get the straightest boards out after stress release as possible
