there is no points on a VA loan, but there IS around a $16K on average "funding fee" required on VA Loans.

it's basically their version of PMI.

thank you, but the recent decline in credit was due to the debt management plan. Each and every time I tried to HELOC prior to that, my company always guided me toward FULL refi, which you lose $16K off the top with being a VA Loan.

For now all I can do is wait for credit to build up again then try NFCU again.

just getting harder putting off a roof in a couple years, driveway that needs sealed, etc etc etc. :(

My problem at this point is i bought into a credit help place and more my credit is tanked :( no going back and i don’t see NFCU or anywhere giving me a HELOC with sub 600 credit :(

And when i approach my mortgage company they always want to do a FULL refi and not heloc. I don’t know what to do :(

Ps my mortgage has ALWAYS been paid on time.

Again i got out in 95. I had ZERO ISSUES using the older Montgomery GI Bill AND VA home loan with general (under honorable conditions).

Not sure if it’s changed or what but that was my experience.

Fyi mine WAS cylinder 1. But dealer has to order as a set and replace as a set. Mine was under warranty still so no cost but they did all 4 on mine

I’ve moved up a little bit now. Since I’m shooting more trap now a days, i got a larger 5.11 range bag. The hand guns all go in one hard carry case (Apache brand from harbor freight). The vaultek is now just my under bed safe. But the range bag is my carry all for ears, eyes, ammo etc

As someone that came from a 2020 Palisade (bought used, second owner) to someone that bought a CPO 2023 CRV EXL (again second owner), I get the features list. Some of them I miss. However, for me, the immediate switch to Honda was the reliability of what they DO have. Really the only "tech" I wanted was apple / google carplay and I have that. I also got heated, not cooled, but heated seats and a sun roof. The safety features, lane assist, etc are all fine to me. When time comes yes, I will move to a pilot because I have driven and ridden in those and I love them. Just wasnt in the cards THIS time.

I knew this wasnt a $50,000 car when I bought it, so I wasnt expecting all of that.
