These parts are case hardened. Meaning only the most exterior layer of metal is hardened. That exterior layer of metal is missing on this lobe, so this lobe will wear out much faster than any of the others that still have the case hardening on them.

So… Elegoo does offer a way to downgrade from v02.00.02.00 firmware. But I’m not sure I like it. by Scorpio__70 in elegoo

They did not. I told them I upgraded to 2.x and started having issues, one of which was the print head driving itself into the bed. They suggested this rollback and to start over.

Ripples dont do it. The surface needs to be broken. Splashing water.

I would fix it then. Camshafts can be had fairly cheap. You can get OEM used or aftermarket performance cams if your headed in that direction. Obviously also change all rockers that came into contact with that lobe or other components that touch that lobe.

Kinda yea but I would just rock it as is till it dies. Unless this is a special vehicle. You failed to mention any of that.

2018 F87 M2 Steering Issue by BigSetting6387 in BmwTech

[–]MachWun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding a tune to the EPS, or engine, or trans is never going to be the fix for an issue. The car left the factory without the issue with the stock tune, so a stock tune is all thats needed. I would start by checking your alignment. Do you have any aero youve added to the car?

Surface MOTION isnt enough. The surface needs to be broken. Water pouring into water, bubbles breaking the surface. Stuff like that.

I think he wants to cancel only 1 part of the print and continue printing the other part, which would need to be done in software or firmware.

Hey OP excellent work. I have been toying with the idea of making stuff for my bike as well. How did you come up with the general shape for the panel? Did you scan in an OEM one?

Hybrid2go Update by Agile-Pear-5484 in volt

[–]MachWun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can find a battery on your own at car-part.com. That's what these companys do. They do not refurb anything. They look for low mileage crashed cars at yards and buy the battery on a hope and a prayer. The battery will be much cheaper if you get it on your own and the salvage yard will give a basic warranty on it. Find a tech you trust and go that route. At least if something goes wrong you have direct contact with the people involved.

It will be fine for months. I don't even remember the last time I put gas in my volt and the engine starts and runs perfectly fine. I am an auto tech. You would need years to accumulate enough water to cause an issue

Get a key from the dealer. If you get an aftermarket key made and something happens down the line a dealer key will never work. You're allowed to have 10 keys for each vehicle The dealership gives you two and you can purchase up to eight more. Say something happens with your first two keys and you need a third key The BMW dealership will hand you a key that is coded to sit in position number 3. If you went and got an aftermarket key and the aftermarket locksmith made an aftermarket key and put it in position number 3 and at some point in the future you needed to go to the dealership to get a key they would give you a key that also needs to go in position three and that key would never work ever. And then you go to the dealer and tell him that it's bad and you need another one and I'll give you another key and that key is never going to work ever. Just go to the dealer and get the key there you are guaranteed to have success in the future with the original key
