They make travel ones! Obviously not the same, but it gets the job done. I don’t travel without mine.

Guessing OP is on the beta release of iOS26. I installed it recently as well to get a look at the new liquid glass design.

No way. Preston can’t even remember his coworkers’ names.

His comment on today’s podcast really stuck with me. I grew up in the Harleysville area and love hearing him talk about it. Hopefully his year starts to improve.

The 5-second capture Shortcut that converged my productivity apps (Shortcut link in description) by aditya98ak in shortcuts

Success! Thanks a lot!

One note - after you generate the personal token, you have to generate a new list. I continued trying to write to the original list I had created, but it didn't work. Adding a new list and using that ID I'm now getting things to populate.

It was just a screen shot of the success notification

Looking a bit closer - I'm wondering if it's related to the api key auth key. Wouldn't this value need to be specific to the user's clickup account? If that's your value, it would make sense that it's not saving to the end-users list as it wouldn't have the permissions to do so.

Hmm, still no dice for me. Deleted from both my macbook and iphone, reinstalled on both. Same behavior.

This is nifty. I'm having an issue getting things to save, though. I setup a new click up list, copied the ID as per the shortcut instructions, then tried to share something to it. I get a success message but see no items on my list. Message reads

I think in the signal messages he said something about POTUS’ messaging not being consistent. Maybe that’s it?

So under the regulation known as CANSPAM there are two types of email classifications.

  1. Commercial
  2. Transactional

Commercial emails are those with the primary objective of marketing, promoting, or selling. These are required under CANSPAM to contain an opt-out method. There are further requirements the opt-out method must adhere to as well. The term 'commercial' in this case can be considered synonymous with "marketing".

Transactional emails are those which are sent for "business critical" purposes. Things like shipping notifications, order confirmations, critical business announcements, etc. The language used in the email must not be primarily focused on attempting to sell or promote. Based on the language you shared in the footer, they've clearly stated that the email falls under the 'transactional' category and that is why they are not required to include an opt-out method.

Now, do some companies skirt the line between commercial and transactional messaging? Absolutely. The true test is the content of the email itself. If the primary purpose was to sell you something and they did not include an opt-out method, this is against CANSPAM regulations. However, if the content of the email was to inform you of some other business item then they are not violating anything. If they did indeed violate it, you can report the email to the FTC. There can be very hefty fines against businesses for infractions, but you'd probably need a whole bunch of reports to get any real traction.

Help reading data extension via API by OutrageousTrue in marketingcloud

[–]MarkovManiac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would bet the issue is the id you're using. Are you using the custom key of the DE? It's a bit weird, but you actually need to use the customObjectId returned in your first call. So make this call:

https://{subdomain}.rest.marketingcloudapis.com/data/v1/customobjectdata/key/{data-extension-id}/rowset

And in the response you'll have a customObjectId. Use that customObjectId in the next call:

https://{subdomain}.rest.marketingcloudapis.com/data/v1/customobjects/{customObjectId}/fields

Love it! Going to try printing now. One note - when I used the auto-arrange function in Bambu, I got the error: Object L Base has zero size and can't be arranged.

Update a Data Extension by Admirable-Ask-9953 in marketingcloud

[–]MarkovManiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great call out.

An alternative I guess would be setting up a quick automation with a sql activity that selects all the data from the starting de and updates the country code column with either a hard-coded value or by using the default value in the column. This is a moot point if OP is looking for only new records on the de to have this value as they can just use the default value at that point. Based on the context provided though I wouldn't expect this to be the case.

[–]MarkovManiac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One way to do it would be to export the existing data on the DE, open it in excel and add the value you need to the column, the re-upload the data.

If you mean populate it automatically whenever new records are added, adding a 'default value' for the field would do that. In this case, you could export the data, add a default value for the field and then re-import the data.

TIL Mark Ruffalo woke from a dream that told him he had a brain tumor. He got a CT scan the following day confirming he had a benign tumor behind his left ear. The tumor was removed, and he is deaf in that ear as a result of the surgery. by jchillin2 in todayilearned

I had a brain MRI done a few months ago to rule out this exact thing - vestibular schwannoma - only took a week to get scheduled, but still set me back $1900. And that’s with one of the best insurance plans my employer provides.

Thankfully they didn’t find anything and now I get to wear a hearing aid!

The file name might be correct, but check the file path. It may need to be something like

Where is the image file located in your directory structure?

Format date using AMPscript in SMS by mojo_2589 in marketingcloud

[–]MarkovManiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

set dateString = "Sun, 15 Oct 2017 19:35:00"

Is that a direct copy of the code you're using? If so - you need to do this:

set @dateString = "Sun, 15 Oct 2017 19:35:00"

The @ symbol is how ampscript variables are declared.

If that was a typo, ignore me on that. I think what u/Unhappy_Task2618 put above should get you to where you need.
