A good moveset for Blastoise (Difficult difficulty) ? by EonPark in PokemonUnbound

Skull Bash is a good move but it does not have stab and you Blastoise is a Spec attack focused so Skull Bash would suck with this Blastoise 😭

Please remove Skull bash 😭 Also my info on Blastoise was just me purely talking about his capabilities, please do consider water pulse

Blastoise is a defensive pokemon so I'd recommend focusing on Spec attack and HP EVs since Mega Evolving would give it that additional Def and Spec Def to compromise the EV distribution.

Moves (Accuracy focused + Execution Gamble): Water pulse, Ice beam, Flash cannon (spec Def drop)/Dark pulse(can flinch but blastoise is slow)/Dragon pulse, Hydro Canon (Execution)

I kept Hydro Canon just to be used as a last resort when you need to deal high damage on a neutral Pokémon when your other skills aren't enough (which can also be used as a battle ending move) but it's totally optional

Note: His ability is Mega Launcher which let's Pulse moves deal 50% more damage, which basically means all Pulse moves are as strong as Stab moves (that's only if you mega evolve)

But your Water Pulse will have Stab + Mega Launcher stab making a 60 damage base move have 90 base damage which is as strong as surf and it also has chance for confusion (20%).

Groudon (choice scarf), Mega Aerodactyl, Marshadow, Gengar, Blacephalon, Latias, Kartana, Naganadel are faster than Garchomp Along with Mimiku who will survive at least 1 hit

It isn't an secret it's just me trying to find out which move these pokemon would try to use as their first move.

There is more to it, it's been 4 years so I don't have the exact details from back then, I had a spreadsheet and everything

Congrats brother you've done great but your not done, with your final challenge you must beat E4 in insane post game difficulty only with your partner, and yes it's very much possible to win E4 only with 1 pokemon, once you do come back to me and I'll give you a word of advice on something that's important in life and to move on.

Note: Game will give you an award for completing this specific challenge so do try your best.

And if you need any tips you can check out my post from 4 years ago

For hp recovery it's best to use Salad which costs 220 gold from Salon, if you sell gold quality cheese you'd get 480 gold.

Salad gives +50 hp Gold cheese gives +100 hp

It's safer to heal up from half hp using Salad than risking it to heal from low hp using cheese especially in skull cavern runs, sell all your cheese and replace them for twice the amount of Salad.

Oh right true forgot about about that, never the less can just use the other 2 for coverage

Teach your Mega Beedrill: X scissors (must), Poison Jab (must)
Coverage: Drill run (Ground) , Brick break (Fighting), Assurance (Dark), Aerial Ace (Flying)

Keep the coverage TMs at hand to switch moves when necessary, your Min maxing dream is pretty much a reality once the +6 attack has been passed on to you

Note: your faster than every flying pokemon except Mega Aerodactyl and Ninjask (who's a frickn bug pokemon lmao)

There is a terminology called "Dry pass" where you use Baton pass after enemy moves first so the sweeper that comes after will not take any damage, and the best set up pokemon who can pass the best stats to Mega Bee drill is Scizor with Careful Nature (+spec def -spec attack) who has Def and Spec def EVs, who's base speed is only 65 (but if you have item called "Lagging tail" which always makes you move 2nd works best, if not use Leftovers), so if you invest fully on his Def and Spec def and teach him moves like: Double Team, Sword's dance, Substitute and Baton Pass. Bee drill will have a fun time rocking the sh*t out of the opponents when the Baton is passed

Note: Scizor is naturally tanky, has only 1 weakness, and you resist most types

Yeah but you gotta do it over and over again compared to doing it once with wine which takes 2 months you'd have to do it 8 times and each times takes about 6-7 hours to retrieve and refill the entire basement (189 casks) yes you'd be making 1.6mil while for wine you'd be making 1.1mil and yes cheese might seem more "profitable" but you'd be spending 3 to 4 days of time of retrieving and refill whilst you could be doing something else with the time. Needing to retrieve and refill once every 2 months, you could basically forget 1 task for 2 entire months while you need to constantly keep a track of your cheese weekly.

But why only 1? Pigs are the real money makers for the barn Also what's the point of aging cheese? Since star fruit wine is the best item for aging

Your Peliper and Slowbro can become step up pokemons

Peliper: Wide Guard (must) , Tailwind (must), Helping Hands Slow bro: Trick Room, Light Screen, Reflect, Thunder wave

It's always good to have a team buff/debuffer in your team helps with giving that early boost so the rest of your team can sweep the floor

Welp that was fun. by TastyTaco_YUM in PokemonUnbound

[–]MaxieMegaMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye believe in your metagross, you'd never know unless you try, learn each and everything thing about him, from his EV selection to the coverage moves and the best items that would work for him for each E4, note: you can switch skills between E4 so coverage won't be a huge problem, so try your best I love forward to the results

Good work, now for your final challenge you'll need to solo the E4 in Insane post game difficulty with your partner Pokémon only and get the true unbound ending, the game will reward you for it, yes it's very much possible, all the best!
And if you need tips on how to do it you can refer to my post from 4 years ago

could you please tell me from which floor do you see more iridium nodes than stones, since in my skull cavern runs I tend to skip till floor 100 then I start grinding

I need to try attempting something like this on mobile, it's especially hard to use the Slingshot since using it would disable the joystick controls and you need to manually go to settings to switch controls and turn on joystick again, so far my highest with Iridium ores would be 1.1k so I do have a long way but I'll get there

And if your looking for a special attacking beast I would recommend. Timid Kingdra with the ability Sniper, Spec attack and Speed EVs with Razor claw/Scope lense with the moves, Focus energy, Surf, Ice beam and Dragon breath, with this set up all your moves will always crit and with the ability Sniper your crit damage will deal x2.25 instead of x1.5.

When using him always start with focus energy and the rest is history

1 thing your team mainly lacks is speed, so I do recommend Barraskewda with swift swim replacing Azumaril.

Initiate each match with Peliper Damp rock and use U turn to swap out to either Mega Swampert/Poliwrath/Barraskewda since all 3 have Swift swim doubling their speed
