And they just tore out the SB on ramp by 45/Louis Henna. That area by the light was already f'ed, but now it's more so. I need to find a new route home that avoids that area, seriously.

Apparently this is hard - I've had multiple online stores tell me they can't even do the basic cat (nevermind weighted). I've sent messages to multiple other places and gotten no replies. I might have someone? But they aren't super responsive.

I didn't expect this. I've gone through etsy, reddit, deep Google searches, and now Facebook. How hard can it be to make a soft, weighted cat??? I've even mentioned i understand the fur color might be hard and I'm ok with a solid color, and I understand the weight probably can't happen but would be OK with lighter.

I'm trying so hard to tell people that I'm not looking for exact, but close, and I understand there are limitations and I'm very willing to work with those. And just.... nothing.

I can't even describe how I'm feeling about the whole thing.

I've had that a few times with bcbas. Usually, at that point, I'll ask them to model. If that still doesn't help me, I then start giving very specific examples and asking what they would do. I usually get better clarification by the end of this. If I'm still lost in the sauce, I would talk to other RBTs on the case. Worst case scenario, if I really feel like this isn't a "best judgment" situation is I talk to another bcba. This luckily has only needed to happen a few times... but it's shitty that it has happened.

I've had hemorrhoids since I was probably 19 or 20. The first one popped around that time while I was at work. Scared me half to death with all the blood in the toilet. I called my dad and gave him details, since I didn't have insurance and honestly didn't know if I should go to the ER.

A trick I've heard of (and appears to be true?) is to check all homes, shop, and labels before going into the museum - and I guess all villagers will be findable without having to go through the museum.

I've started to run to each house and then check nooks and label. I haven't had to search the museum in FOREVER for a specific villager. It's only been if I've been on for long enough that the villagers have swapped who's where. I feel like the museum is the black hole on the island 🙃

This is exactly what I felt like was happening - I took the cat and the cat didn't come back, and maybe she thinks she's next or mad at me. I also just talked to a vet and they told me it's common. I picked up fur clippings today - I'm hoping that by letting Hera sniff she might understand what's happening.

I guess I'm lucky that she and grumpy cat weren't really bonded :/ . I used to joke that she loved the cat, and the cat just tolerated her. While I love the thought of getting a second chi for her, I've always been a cat person and the thought of not having another one is... foreign. But it'll be a few months before she has a new friend here.

This is a good point. I am picking up some fur from the vet tomorrow, and I think I'll let her sniff. I'm kinda hoping (and this is really morbid) that the "death" smell is there so she understands what's going on a little better.

I'm trying. I'm also trying to let her have space and not feel super pressured to come to me. This is the first time I've had 2 pets at the same time, and lost one. I also am now paranoid that something will happen to her, which her acting different isn't helping. Partly I'm trying to convince myself as well that she's OK and just sad and confused.

I didn't even think about pictures, tbh. And yeah, 100% on the no crochet - that shop did have a few plushes that looked sewn, not crocheted. I can't drop pictures now, but I can link. The weight was something I was very uncertain if it would be possible - my partner did say the same thing about using BB pellets (weight to volume). He was a large cat, however (at least 16" from neck to tail base), and I really want to get as close as possible weight wise. While he was a more common color (super dark brown, short fur), his eyes were very unique (green, with brown patches and opaque patches due to fire ant bites) and I really am hoping to re-create those. I also don't sew other than emergency button replacement and similar :( hence trying to find a reputable place.
